Its actually pretty big for us. We can get Timewarped Badges which can then be spent on all manner of things. I used some from two years ago to buy reputation commendations and got this fancy tabard Im wearing. You can buy pets and xmog items from the actual event vendor. You can buy stuff from timewalking vendors throughout the year (iirc Crystal bought crates of meat to the get the delicious chocolate cake recipe) etc.

You can also, obviously, spend badges on anything badges are normally spent on. Theres several toys and such that costs hundreds, if not thousands, of badges.

I would strongly advise that you make as many alts as you can stomach to farm the badges. That way you can save for things throughout the years on one or two toons, while buying smaller things on the others.

So the "event" is literally just a dude asking trivia questions in the Stormwind library (inside the keep). Answer the questions once a day for the Timewarped badges reward. He sells some swag for the badges too. like a corgi pet, some transmog stuff. Halloween style costumes, etc. So buy all that with alts and stuff and save up as many of the badges as you can on your "main" to do things like... buy reputation commendations or other "big" things.

Didn’t know you were on XPOFF I remember seeing you back in mop and being like damn this dudes name is so lit
 
Last year they (re)introduced the original World Bosses of Vanilla, that dropped scalling gear for lvl60 until Max Level. Assuming they bring them back for this year's party, there is always a small chance that they'd also allow lower-than-60-lvl chars to loot those bosses this time around.

Despite all that, you get to use a special fancy glasses transmog during the event!

Edit: Even if you don't get to loot the items in your Twink, you can transmog them If you loot on a higher level character.

Is there any confirmation on if they will be bringing the world bosses back? I've been trying to google stuff and I haven't found anything concrete

After the anniversary event, where they reintroduced the old world bosses, they left a blue post somewhere, saying that they will return for the next anniversary. It was an answer to those who basically spammed the forums, because they thought they might have missed the opportunity to get some of that old (then GF'd) gear for transmogs and whatnot.
