WotF = worthless

i could see this maybe changing a few duel or 2v2 arena results where an UD could have stopped a chain fear and taken a win, chain fearing UD priests on D will be easier too. but i don't see this as game breaking as you are making it seem.

Yeah, all you have to do is avoid being feared twice within 45 seconds of each other, it's still going to have a value otherwise.

And 80s UD rogues will probably not feel the nerf all that much anyways, Cloak of Skill ^_^

Fear+bandage is crucial.

blueisbetterthanyou get over it, most over powered racial in the game has finally been nerfed

I loled at that. You aren't serious are you? cause if you were..... then its even funnier.

you guys are fucking dumb if you think any other racial is better at 19 or 80

Oh?

Gift of the Naaru?

Every Man for Himself which is basicly an improved version or WotF?

Shadowmeld + bandage? That's like an instant heal at this level considering the bandages we can get.

Arcane Torrent?

Yeah.

Considering many top rated arena players swapped from Alliance to Horde when Faction changes came out, something needed to be done with WotF, but not this, and not this way.

In the lower brackets, WotF probably isn't the top racial in the game, but as the brackets continue up, I believe it becomes far more gamebreaking. If you can break fear without your trinket, then you save your trinket for something like blind/deathcoil, etc.

Gift of the Naruu does squat at 80, Every Man for Himself is "ok", depending on your class. It's nice to free up a trinket slot, but the WG trinkets and the new and improved trinkets have stats that are to be desired for pvp players. Shadowmeld is nice for tricks and giggles, but it's only decent at lower brackets and does less and less as the brackets progress upwards.

A lot of ret paladins went horde to grab Arcane Torrent for another interrupt (as far as I know).

And then Will of the Forsaken... If you pitted a Horde UD PMR against an Alliance PMR (both standard mut rogue, disc priest, frost mage), equal skill, and RNG forgiving, Horde should take that matchup, no question. That's a racial swinging the balance there. Sure it's just one example, but still, it's an example.

So I guess TLDR after that rant.... WotF needed a nerf, but not to that extent and not at the same time as Race Changes because that just makes Blizzard look like dickwads. There needs to be some level of rebuffing in my opinion, but I don't think it should be giving it a base resist of 15%. Remember UD also have a resist to shadow spells already, and adding that on would give Fear around a 17% resist rate. Good luck fearing an UD warrior with that.

I see what your coming from here. But saying WotF is the best racial is a bit silly to me. sure breaking one fear spell is cool beans n snuff but like I said in my rant thread on PTR forums fear is not the only crowd control spell thats going to be dropped on you. It's one of the most but it's not the only.

GOOD, I get tired of undead when I'm on my lock. It's pretty scary attempting a fear when you see an opponent attacking you that has. kick, gouge, trinket, and WoTF. It's like.. why even try to fear? Gouge can be avoided yes, but it's extremely difficult to fake cast a good rogue, and even if you do manage to blow their kick and fear them, they just pop wotf.

Yes, I'm QQing. I'm not saying undead deserve a nerf, but I'm saying I hate undead. Hard.

Imo it's one of the better racials, but I won't say it's the best. However, I do think it's the most gamebreaking racials, being that it will turn the tide of a fight just having that racial.

Fear is an important CC though, like Death Coil, Poly, and Blind (and to a certain extent Frost Trap), you can't do squat when you're under those CCs (and some of those CCs break on damage, Fear breaks at a threshold, but still, you can do nominal damage with it). If you're in a tight spot, you would have to trinket Fear (if you didn't have WotF) and make yourself vulnerable to other CCs. With WotF, you can choose to break fear and also break a second CC coming at you. Being able to break two CCs that would normally render you useless for probably around 15 seconds is pretty nice. Only being able to break one of them still makes you useless for about 8 to 10 seconds.

While you are, let's say rooted, you can still cast, you can break it with EA if you need to, you can dispel it off of yourself or have someone who can dispel take it off. You're not 100% worthless when you're rooted, but you are worthless when you're under Fear.

Sorry for the Wall of text. I'm not saying I approve of the current nerf, but I think something needs to be done as well.
