I don't know if this has already been pointed out as I've been out of the loop for a bit, and only recently got back into 20s and realised my gear was outdated and that I had some farming to do.
anyway,
this is what I've found out to be the somewhat most effecient way to go about farming my own WoD Warforged pieces, and figured I'd share in case others are wondering how people go about farming their ilvl 87 epics.
for the first 200 runs or so I did my own self-boosts with legacy looting , using 1x lvl 20 and 1x lvl 60.
doing it this way both your characters are 100% to get 1x loot per boss kill the entire run.
so 2x loots 4x bosses = 8 items per run and 8x10 runs = 80 items total per 10 reset/lockout.
while only 40 of these items will be scaled to lvl 20.
this is good and all but the rng involved in these giant loot tables and then needing the item to proc WF ontop isn't great..
what I ended up doing was bringing 2x lvl 20s , 1x lvl 60 booster.
bringing in another person divides up the loot chances so its a 33.33% chance per character to get to loot as each boss will still drop 2x items loot to 3 people with legacy loot active.
but now that I have 2x lvl 20s in the group it's 2x 33.33% = 66.66% chance to get to loot 2x lvl 20 loots per boss kill instead of just 1 item.
its still very rng based but being able to get between 10-16? extra items per 10 reset/lockout is still better than no bonus drops at all.
this is an example of the loot i got on my 60 booster:
each square is supposed to present 5 runs and the horizontal lines inside is to seperate the loot in each run.
this is a bit tricky to explain as its just the 'system' I use to keep track of runs+loot instead of having to use an addon for it.
the 14x empty slots show the boss kills in which your lvl 60 did not get any loot, and instead a lvl 20 got the additional loot, that would otherwise had gone to your lvl 60 had you been doing runs the previous way with just 2 characters.
so our extra 14 bonus items + 40 garanteed items = 54 items scaled to lvl 20 in this reset/lockout.
it's important to note that this only ideal for vets who have active game time, as the idea is you're able to trade the extra looted items between the two 20s.
there might be some arguements that its better to use a lvl 10 MW with personal loot, which is valid but it depends on how you value your time if you plan on doing fulll clears.
more or less every 60 class will be able to boost a full Iron Docks run in less than 4 minutes without any speed gear equipped since you can mount inside the instance, which would be tricky to achieve with 60% mount speed.
lastly, I don't think this is the way to go about farming for wf+socket if there are some hardcore grinders out there trying to get them. but this is a good method to get your first ilvl 87 gear set.
( most likely doing solo-personal loot runs on some of the 1st bosses would be more ideal )
hope this was somewhat helpful to some at least, happy farming and gl on the drops.
