WOD 20-29 Hell yes

500 bucks to beat up on some low level f2ps...? Understand its gf'd and all but why spend 500 when you can easily do it for 15?

Because it isn't just about trials. Never was... Never will be...
Trials may think of it as "their" bracket. But that does not make it true.
People spend money on all sorts of outrageous things that you and I may not approve. Does that make it wrong? Nah, it is their money. Let them do as they wish.
Good luck with the sales

Unless people have looked up the stats of the grandfathered items for WoD. We really have no idea at this juncture how they will affect our bracket until PTR drops. Even then, some of the scaled items may be equal or better. DMH with it's proc it going to be tough to beat though. I am glad I am a healer and it won't directly affect me.

well, the 20-24 wouldnt exist without f2ps. no one had a lvl 24 twink in classic/bc/wotlk. it isnt their bracket, but p2ps should be glad there are ppl who are desperate enough (including me, only twink bracket with decent queue times) to play this sht.

If these changes do happen, I guarantee that the only reason to be a P2P 20 anymore will just to be a healer or an FC, considering both don't rely on hit chance as much DPS classes.

Already, my P2P 20 prot warrior has roughly 3K HP in BGs when scaled to 24, imagine that scaled to 29.

It's a shame though they're fucking up hit chance. I used to have that 29 rogue back in WOTLK, wasn't BiS by any means but had a ton of GF'd stuff, and for sweg I had 2 shadowfangs in my inventory. Would start playing him if I didn't lose that account a few years ago.

Might go back to my twinking roots and go level 10 for funsies.

Can't wait to break out my double AGM/GF'd warrior again. Guessing a lot of familiar faces from the bracket will come out of the woodwork. Really excited!

I paid $165 for a virtual turtle for my 10 twink, and I love it!

I totally agree with you. Plus, some people have more money to lay down on video games then others.

and Albinocow, dont forget him. High chances he will be one of the few p2p restricteds that will remain true <3

Also. 10 isnt funsie time. 10 is srs bsns!

Blizzard may increase the trial cap to 25 to offset the hit issue a bit and to giv trials access to glyphs.
Deadman's Hand has an "official" proc rate of 5%. Which is the same as Green Whelp Armor that I choose to wear on my shaman in the 39 bracket. Green Whelp Armor - Item - World of Warcraft
And it goes off quite often with hilarious results. Zzzzzzzzz but healers get beat on quite a bit. Too bad I do not have a 29 shaman. /cry

20 will scale up to an effective level 29 in BGs (unless they change that too), so not hitting will not be a factor. Like HB said, in world pvp could be fun as a 29. But I think it will be more fun for everyone. F2ps can have Honeybadger raids.

What the irony of the "trial situation" is, they are the same demographics that lay out $800-$1000 for a xbox one and a couple games. Yet complain daily about a game that costs the equalivalent of 50 cents a day. Now, I am not saying every trial spends that kind of money on a console game but I suspect they would.

It really is hard to say what classes will get what abilities right now. Or has that been released? I have not looked since Good Friday. Blizzard did mention that abilities were changing levels. Trials may have access to fortitude. Paladins may have access to raid buffs. Shaman may have healing totems or even tremor totems(doubtful). Might get earth shield back. But one can always dream.

Idk...decided to make a list of the most prominent Gf'd items in the 29s bracket (no I didn't list skullbreaker/nailspitter/master hunter gun cuz every knows about those)

Belts
Stonefist Girdle - Game Guide - World of Warcraft

Shields
Vile Protector - Item - World of Warcraft
Marbled Buckler - Item - World of Warcraft

Boots
Lancer Boots - Item - World of Warcraft

Armor
Brutal Hauberk - Item - World of Warcraft with a use ability
Raptor Hunter Tunic - Item - World of Warcraft
Zealot's Robe - Item - World of Warcraft

Weapons

Windstorm Hammer - Item - World of Warcraft
Crescent of Forlorn Spirits - Item - World of Warcraft
Bleeding Crescent - Item - World of Warcraft

most of these items are tbh more inferior to BoAs...(but it appears BoA's will lose their DPS over to those weapons)

You are missing a few.

cant put scope on nail so pfft.

Right now it equals out to a passive 74.9 AGI if converting dps with 14:1 and adding remaining agi.
Who knows in WoD with all the changes (3.5:1 multiplier, and 20% nurf), etc. Right now BOA gun is scaling weird so i cant tell (2agi 3 crit)

The real reason most of the grandfathered items were awesome in their prime, for example Marbled Buckler, was that we could enchant them them with BC enchants. Back then, enchants were dependent on ilevel.
Even seven years ago, we worried about getting the best enchants possible. This is nothing new.

The two shield you listed are not good anymore. Shield of Maraudon or bust.
There are a few GF SM quest gears that are marginally BIS as well.

DMH may be the only real tremendous grandfathered item out there. It would be because of its proc. Although seemingly low, 5%, it should proc often enough to warrant it's use. It is an EPIC after all.
There are some nice low rate drop items as well. Any "old school twinker" may have these. I have quite a few 29 gloves and and helms on Alliance side but nothing on Horde since I really never played Horde when the 20-29's were active. Enduring Cap may prove to be better than BoA. 24 stamina on it if I remember.
