Will this change seriously affect level 20 twinking?

Hey I had a friend named dressman who played in vanilla and it seems you might of aswell. He told me it was a time people were dedicated to one fraction because you could only choose 1? Can you please share some past thoughts and exp on this.

No you could have horde and ally chars in vanilla. Most ppl dedicated to be able to get GM (grand marshal title, or horde equiv) and to do raid progression like ragnaros, kelthuzad. sure you can try to have 1 char on both factions but really, you're just slowing yourself down.

maybe i'm mistaken, pvp realms might be specific. <- I am faction specific, look at my biography on my profile to see ;)

WoD will soon be merged with Battle chest as Mists of Pandaland did. Then all the trials, will be able to access Draenor.

Going by galactic standards, it will be approximately another year before that happens. Probably more. Odds are it will eventually happen though, yes. After the new expansion come out in 2016.

Perhaps that was in beta or Alpha. I do not recall in Vanilla not being able to create characters on each faction on retail. Very few people did it though. Leveling was a grind. It took FOREVER. There were no clues for quests. The quest givers had no "!" or "?" items did not glow, addons were not a available, you simply could not look something up on WoWhead if you got stuck, the was no blue HuD on your map, none of that existed. The game was the the grind. I remember being ecstatic when I cobbled together my first silver! kek! Back then you paid for everything. Including your training. You carried you lets with you, your mounts ammo, uggg.... Why would anyone want to go back and play Vanilla is beyond me!
One thing I do remember is, Paladins did have a rage bar...

OT,
I hope this does effect the lower tiered brackets. More options are always better.
On my Subbed 20's I have not even bothered to port the Ashran and make that my heartpoint. Perhaps I should start considering that option now before port prices start going up up up, just in case.

On "PVP SERVERS" in Vanilla there was a long period of time where you could only have 1 faction on the server, it was patched out before TBC though I believe, I had 2 accounts for that reason

That was per server, not per account.

OT,
Too bad the ports to the major cities in Ashran are so far apart.
