Except that horde didnt have a druid. Alliance had 4 druids: 3 ferals and HB on guardian; while horde had no mobility classes, no prot classes (nobody playing cheesy broken prot classes like BM either), and you want to say that horde had a million classes that could FC? Are you trolling or are you being deliberately obstinate? [deleted]

If a p2p came into the "f2p section" and started calling the f2ps "idiots", they would have at least been given a temp ban. You are still here, in the p2p subforum.

im just as entitled as you are to post in the 29 section as i play p2p and f2p both

a temp ban seems a little over the top but then again this is twinkinfo so i wouldnt be surprised

You do realize that an arms warrior in D stance can mitigate 10x the amount of dmg a f2p gdruid can.. not to mention you are 29 with more health than any of us anyways. with plenty of horde healers. On a side not we did not have 3 ferals, unless Boomkin and feral are magically the same thing all of the sudden. And I don't want to hear it, you had a feral and rogue 29 with a Frost mage, ret, warr, etc. All 29s burning Flash bombs and Speed pots one after the other.

I have a free to play account with a warrior on it.

If I posted like you do in the failed to pay section I would eat a ban and everyone knows it.

I almost ate a ban in there just for calling a guy out after he claimed to have farmed me in arena (he lost every match he faced me in)

If you don't call it both ways this is just going to keep getting ugly.

the thing is though i have been banned multiple times, contrary to popular belief i do not receive any kind of special treatment on ti

i only really shit post when i have to, besides its not like i go out of my way to make threads every time i get ploughed by p2ps
 
Again, this is a ggs thread that you hijacked because I called out fotm BM. You took it personally qt. F2P vs p2p ensued. F2P couldn't hang without mod assistance.

Do we need to make this subforum a p2p only zone to keep f2ps out, as you've so kindly done in your subforum?

HB had more hp than anyone on horde. Horde did not have a druid, thus could not have had a feral. I would not call a single ret on horde as "more healers" or do you feel that 1 ret outheals 4 druids @ 29? It is quite funny hearing yourself and other f2ps complaining about a potion learn-able at level 60 alchemy, no reason you cannot farm the mats and make your own, but I can see how it is much easier to complain about consumables in pug matches.... As for flash bombs, maybe if half your team wasn't druids that don't have the reflexes to shift into humanoid form, you wouldn't personally have such an issue with one player using them. You will continue to "have to hear it" until you provide unaltered screenshots proving otherwise.

Hehehe, see this is why we frown upon moderator actions being discussed publicly! It just stirs up resentment.

Let me try to explain here guys, and then you get back to your regularly scheduled programming. One person called people "idiots", and another person called people "scum". Who said what isn't important at this point. Herneith closed the thread at first just as a measure to make sure things didn't explode while things got sorted out, and a few things were edited to keep the conversation less hostile.

But no one got infractions, and certainly no one's going to get banned right out of the gate like that. I've said it before elsewhere, and I'll say it again here: I cannot speak for anything that may have happened in the past, but as new moderators have been brought on and the staff has sort of "regrouped" and developed new approaches to things, we're trying to initially take these "softer" approaches of heading off problems and just talking to you guys, long before it gets to the point of giving out infractions.

Also, please do know that, except in very serious cases, it's going to take three infractions before getting a ban. Yes it is possible that someone can be really over the line and earn three infractions in short order, and yes it is possible to do some things that warrant an immediate, if temporary, ban (see the CoC link in mine or Herneith's signature for more information) but by and large, at this point we're trying to give you guys credit for being mature people who can handle themselves and follow basic guidelines.

We do still appreciate reports because we can't see everything, but you guys can help us out (and yourselves in turn) by not reporting to spite people (not saying anyone did, but we do see it), and not posting things like "you deserve a ban" when we have pretty good reasons for handling things the way we do.

Okay? Okay. We're all on the same side, we're moving forward from here, and I hope we end up giving you a fresh perspective on the administrative work we're here to do. Let's go back to talking about whatever you were talking about. And yes, I do see that Shaket has posted inflammatory stuff twice since Herneith's plea, and yes I'm about to deal with it so please don't report it :)

The honest answer to that, for me as a moderator, is that I differentiate between saying BM monk is a scummy class (here you're expressing your opinion about Blizzard's implementation of the class) and people who play BM monks are scummy people (here you are directing an insult at a class of people). As long as people aren't insulting people, or especially, a specific person, I'm very open and free when it comes to people blasting their opinions. As I said, the -only- problems I saw in this thread prior to Herneith stepping in were the use of idiot and the use of scum.

Happy to answer any other questions, but out of respect for the topic of the thread, let's handle them over in my PM box.

We need to stop limiting the voices and opinions of our community. Moderators need to be more tolerant towards some of the harshness that might be displayed here on TI. Let the people talk.
 
Or maybe have a subforum that specifically allows for it. If people don't want to see it, don't go there.
