Who misses the original twinking community from WOTLK?

I notice each day that more controversy and hassle gets indulged into this bracket, it's like a virus really. We have drama in all directions, for once wouldn't it be nice for the bracket to just calm down and relax?

I for one used to love the level 70 twinking bracket and community, I used to enjoy the company of other 70 players. I still do, however it's not to the same effect. The community now revolves around aggression and "Pro" aspects, hate is now a common tradition which has ruined the 70 bracket in more ways than some. I'm sure this thread will get a fair amount of hate stabbed straight into it to be honest with you "I don't care if it does, it'll just show my point ". The original 70s of the bracket who've been around since the start would understand where I'm coming from regarding the diverse changes which have occurred within the bracket.

Don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with new players joining the bracket. But, it's players who arrive with attitude and "Pro" Aspects who ruin the bracket to the eighth degree.

But yeah, it would be nice if there weren't so much hate in the bracket. If people just knew how to behave to one another. I know you as well has been victim for some serious shit, without ever doing any thing. People are just like that apparently, and they never realise what impact they have on other people.

I myself has been on a bitch-rage-flip recently, due to happenings that you also are aware of. I personally never did anything nor wanted to be the target of constant trolling, backstabbing and so on, but that's apparently how it is.

Yes the WotLK era was the best, mainly because I didn't have to talk, raid or interact with people from other realms.

I didn't know any of you before and I also saw close to no 70 twinks during WotLK in battlegrounds, arena (Vindication battlegroup) or on my realm (unless they were in MY guild), so obviously it was more fun, because I was in control. Most of the 70 twinks that did run around didn't have any SWP-gear because SWP was still hard to do, even with 80s.

People joined my runs because I was able to get them through SWP with dumbed down tactics, without wiping infinitely on Felmyst. Everything is better when you still feel unique and powerful. that feeling is gone now.

I remember playing a 70 twink rogue in wrath, when you could queue skirmishes and such and you'd have to actually have an arena team to get brutal gladiator gear, eventually leading into a feral 70 in early cata. That was when 70's were fun for me and wish they'd return to that state.

Yeah very few 70s actually had a bc account and therefore the capability of queuing/playing in normal 70-79 bg's. Man I had a blast with my bc account priest. Conqueror from scratch in no time.

But battlegrounds didn't give XP during TBC did they?

I can't remember what I did to make sure I didn't leave, because I'm not sure if there was XP-freeze back then either :x

I think I only did raids with 20+ 80s so I'd get close to no XP.
 
II can't remember much about 70 during WotLK even though I played then the most as 70.

In fact I only remember ArP from Bonereaver's Edge on my 60, because 3 procs would end up with 74% ArP xD

Were there gems for Block Rating and ArP? I honestly can't remember.

I know we had much more avoidance than we have now and that I gemmed for avoidance when gemming for stamina was popular.
 
Only thing I remember being majorly overpowered was that patch where 70s got 98% resillience, but I don't even think that was during WotLK.

I miss all the talents though and (after WotLK?) the time when Shield Block was changed into this weird 30 second lasting thing instead of button bashing it every 8 seconds.
