Alpha and Omega
Since shaman poll has been contentious with stupid arguing among EU, DA, and other people that I haven't bothered to read, it was decided to give it an extra day to play out (on that note, need some more votes to break the current logjam amount the top 3 or 4 vote getters). Who would think it would be so close? Anyway, rogue may be another competitive poll. It was dominated by Sax and Mass the first time around, but with a more viable EU choice and some new up and comers, we may see more parity in this poll. Vote!
Apnea: This rogue is mostly known for emote spamming his foes while stealthed, though he does not shy away from continuing to do so after opening. He is also known for showing off his sassy attitude on TwinkInfo, much like the little girl from ‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’ shows off her sass in front of pageant judges. Not much more can be said about Apnea.
Curley: Curley has gone through a bit of a rough time since making WT lose its last premade. Though he has exceptional rogue skills and field awareness, he is often crippled by latency issues. Curley has come a long way since his days as Curleypwnsu, and hopes to make a better showing in the poll this time around. Though he does not have much hope of winning, even a modest number of votes will assure Curley that he is indeed good.
Mass: This poll is an opportunity for Mass to earn his redemption. Every day, he looks back at what could have been six months ago. He remembers the rush of almost beating Saxx in the rogue poll, with Saxx then going on to win the entire series. Now, with his additional affiliation to LSFTW, Mass may just have the connections in addition to his solid play to pull it off.
Mocha: This rogue’s trademark is the usage of unconventional weapons and armor. He has been seen prowling around the gulch in a Lucky Fishing Hat and weapons enchanted with Crusader, all in the name of nostalgia. As such a respected and feared member of the WSG community, only one such as him can pull off such shenanigans.
Red: This rogue, who hails from EU, is good at kicking, has good use of cooldowns, and can turn fights around by himself. He has the distinction of being named in EU ‘best of’ lists very often. Picking an EU candidate is always a crapshoot, since you never know in advance if the European bloc will get behind that person – we will have to see.
Satin: Out of all candidates on this list, Satin is the only one who can be referred to as a ‘new kid on the block’. He is especially potent in midfield, and is known (and feared) for constantly coming out of stealth with a speed pot already popped. Satin is also admired for his tendency to bring along a healer. He is like Batman – he uses his prep time to stack the odds in his favor.
Saxx: Six months after the fact, our prior winner of first series of *Top Twink* polls looks to make his way to a repeat victory in the class primaries. For those who don’t remember, Saxx barely overcame a storm of late votes from 1 post accounts for Mass the last time around, then obliterating the competition in the class-wide poll. For Saxx to have any hope for another victory, he will have to overcome stiff competition in the form of powerhouses such as Curley and Mocha.
Slyddur: What can be said here? Slyddur has been around forever, and is very respected as a rogue and leader. Since the last poll, he made his new guild Noodle Arms, led it to repeated victories over tRain cOw, and virtually retired from the 19s scene. He still plays some, notably leading pugmades against alliance on Sundays, and no drop-off in his abilities has been noticed.
Sneaky: Sneaky has had an up and down time as a 19 rogue. Thinking back to the last poll, he got virtually no votes, with everyone in LS voting for Mass. As an active gulch player and a skillful rogue, combined with an MVP-level presence on TwinkInfo, Sneaky may just have what it takes to make a run for the top rogue this time around.
Workz: Long has this rogue worked in the shadows of others, but recently, he has begun to come in to his own. What can be said for Workz is that he is a supremely nice guy, a skillful rogue, and someone who often plays other classes. This is probably his shortfall, as he played Craycray (hunter) often in Cata, and is now seen on Monkworkz (monk) in MoP. With some more consistent playing, there may be no limit for Workz.
