When will the bracket be shaken up again?

There is already a system that encourages the search for random people, but for dungeons only. It gives the whole group a 3x stacking bonus that increases stats. Blizzard must calibrate and weave this system for an unrated random bg - that would be better than "disable group queuing".

I'd say perhaps closer to patch 10.0...? Unless the devs, the MVPs and the player base actually cry and call out for severe changes.

Twinking literally isn't worth it right now except for the most committed no-lifers, and even then, there are better games to waste your time on with better rewards to do so. The ilvl 28 gear just isn't worth the time investment, and so twinking isn't as well. I'm sorry this is news to you and that you're going to struggle to divest yourself from something you've over-invested emotionally in. In fact, you sound exactly like a newb who is carried by just the extra stats given by twink gear. You probably get killed by levellers on the regular without twink gear.

I seriously think you overestimate how much of an impact these items have, you are perfectly capable of killing a person with ilevel 28s if you have decked out tbc socket gear. And farming ilevel 28s without sockets takes no time whatsoever. I dont get why this has anything to do with it.

If this is the reason you quit, you were probably going to quit soon regardless, for me this is the sole reasln i continue. Cause now i have something to work towards. Its bot like full speed/leech socket gear is going to give you bramblestaff power.

I've killed people as F2P without enchants/etc in BFA and punched way above my gear level doing so for a considerable amount of time. Its not required, but its a noticable difference. The same is probably true of all the BIS socket gear. You telling me if i run around in fireflash ilvl 28 i'm going to be fine? I doubt it. Even if it doesn't have a socket, its going to add up. There are already grandfathered pieces which convey advantages that only a few people have. Not having socketed pieces, and worse, ones itemized properly, adds up.

At the end of the day, its a huge deterrent(the barrier to entry is just too high) for anyone who wants to twink. When trying to attract new people to twinking, you are talking about people who are likely considering quitting WoW entirely, who don't want to remain subbed to the game to farm the gear and are telling them that BIS, or a rough approximation, is going to take basically forever(month(s)) for a single character. I've brought plenty of people to this community and i can't recommend anyone try it out due to the ridiculous time commitment and just how boring it is to try and get the gear you need. I've already run around in BIS f2P gear(no sockets) and you can definitely feel it compared to those with socketed gear.

I agree, but a cursory glance in details/recount at dispels and % healed by what will tell you whose been playing for a while and whose FOTM. Most of the discs that are just playing it because it’s good have the majority of their healing as shadow mend

Same shit with hunters, rlly easy to see who knows what they’re doing and who is just FOTM, most of the hunters in the 20s bracket are just rerolls for bad players and it shows

Lmfao I see your point, hunters from clickers.com (credit tgod) are easier to bait into overextending etc at least tho so (hopefully) if you have a decent team that understands peeling and target swapping you don’t have to check combat log except to see how high your execute crit

after getting our a#$% handed to us in a BG (noticing we had as much if not more healing than other team)
and wondering why/wtf ???
I then take that aforementioned cursory glance into the details/recount...
Only to find one or more of the healers on our side, mostly healed themselves ... no dispells ...etc
and/or my Spinal Healing Injector did more healing than one of our heals ...
Besides geared versus lesser geared toons, it also makes a huge difference ...
actual heals versus just someone in the healer role.

If ilvl 28(the green stuff) gear goes my guess is that people see a resurgence in interest. I quit because of it, its just too much to ask of most people to go get it and there are far better games/things to do with my time. The farming for it is incredibly boring and i wouldn't be surprised if people bot it - if there was ever a farm that basically asked for it would be this kind of crap(not endorsing botting/not doing it myself etc). The RNG dungeon crap is enough. Its like a full time job if you want even remotely good pieces for most classes and i highly doubt blizzard wanted 20s to have ilvl 28 green pieces. The barriers to entry are too high right now so just getting rid of this one thing would be helpful to the bracket on the whole. I know i'm not the only person who has quit over this. The vast majority of my friends list did as well. Fixing this would shake up the bracket since it would either mean nerfing it or making unusuable, either way, probably healthy. Don't think they care enough to do it though but its sort of weird that in an expansion that expanded twinking capacity, they basically killed it with giving too much to do.

As for the next shakeup - potentially some item that doesn't scale like its supposed to via an event or just wait for the next expansion i guess. I came back for ilvl 54 artifacts but that's gone and i'm just not interested in spending the time farming for near-indefinite periods.
