When will rogues get a buff??

That's what I'm saying, it's not a mechanic that is not already in the bracket like kidney shot or vanish or cloak, it's just putting an existing mechanic at a slightly lower level to make it realistic to bring rogues back into premades.

I personally think crip poison would be the perfect fix for rogues. The majority of healers can remove it, only priests cant. Since crip is RNG based it cant really be that OP since you cant rely on it, and if you have a healer with you then chances are it wont make much difference anyway.

I think rogues can still be viable in a premade but maybe just one. They can be an X factor similar to that of mages. I think most rogues are stuck in a rut of the traditional way of thinking, that is trying to be OP and wrecking things. I think they have evolved to the point where more FINESSE is required. They need to be smarter and more patient about things now. But with that said I think if they got Cloak at this lvl that would help them out while not being OP. But with Cata coming cloak would make them OP. They're just going to have to wait. After all they were on top for all those years. I think shaman are sort of the MVPs.

Even if rogues were to become OP with cloak, I doubt they will surpass hunter. Vanish, Crip, and Dismantle are probably good choices to have.

You can have a rank 1 of the cloak that doesn't have resistance and the original one as rank 2.

I simply like how Vanish works, and can be used with cloak (if it's possible)

Warriors get Disarm as I mentioned earlier.

Crip seems to be discussed enough. I'd like to see a healer actually be oom for removing crip while healing if it's only healer on FC during that time.

consistent pressure drops FCs, not the ocassional sap or garrotte, most rogues understand exactly what ur talking about and that is why they spend

most of their time in arena where that is actually a workable strat, unfortunatly that doesn't work so well in 10v10

Consistent pressure maybe nice but I always prefered coordinating Bursts from multiple players. That said, if a Rogue has the discipline to pool their energy while popping an SS to avoid energy capping while waiting for a signal from teammates to burst a target down, I could see Rogues being viable if they can stick nearby a snare class in their current state. A snare to call their own being made available would allow them to operate solo but for now they are no longer the one man armies of old.

Burst only happens in the kill zone, and you only get to the kill zone with consistent pressure, and the whole point is why bring a class that requires so much babysitting when you could bring a warrior or hunter instead, both of whom bring both the damage and control neccessary for dropping FCs. Rogues may have a slightly higher burst but they're never gonna get to use it if they can't keep up and offense wont be able to keep the pressure if the rogue has to be babysat

Stop giving up before you even play, find a way to make it work.

You're never going to be a jedi if you can't defy logic.

Rogues have gone down hill ever since the end of burning crusade I'd say. I have thought many times that if they would just lower the level of ANY poisn it would even rogues out in the 19 bracket tremendously. Blizzard might not, "balance" if you must use that word, the lower brackets. So much time has been put into getting rid of twinks and making gameplay fair, but it's not fair. I think that if a point is going to made, that would be it. Its not other brackets, mostly just 19. 29 is more balanced, 39 is very balanced, 49, 59, 69, even towards 79 from playing on my warlock. I've never seen a player who is non twinked just destroying in a battleground like hunters can at 19. It seems to only be the 19 bracks that is just SOO slanted. Blizzard should step in and do something, and I think that someone should make a little bit of a racket on the poisn issue. Its just another step towards what we want. Nobody like their perfect rogue twink to be smashed by a hunter with BoA's. It's like getting your ego curb-stomped.

Yeah pretty sure priests are pretty stupid at 19 atm.. Just guessing from what Mael said.

lol.

Priests are easilly 1v1able at 19 if your a warrior / shaman / warlock / pretty much anything... rogue if your good at restealth which you SHOULD be!

just a long game in 1v1.

On topic:

with cata coming up, rogue kind of needs crip poisen...

reasons:

rogue with sprint on cd vs hunter = hunter wins...

warlocks / mages / priests with about 200 SP, 18% spell crit, 2K mana and 1.2K hp in cata vs rogue with no slow? gg...

the list kinda goes on tbh...

Multiple players synchronizing their burst combos could effectively burst players down from 100%, and really, babysitting a Rogue isn't really that hard considering that all snares at this level are 50% or less, so any sort of Snare+CC support for the rogues and you find him topping kill and damage charts pretty quickly. If they can stick to a Warrior, they could effectively work together to cover for each other's weaknesses. The rogue can get in melee while in stealth then quickly get in a gouge to allow the warrior an opening to get into melee range or leave combat to get in a charge, apply a snare and then the two of them can burn down the target quickly. A rogue working in unison with a CC Mage is also quite effective if they are good at communicating between snares, Nova and sheeping. When I worked with Rogues, I usually saved Wolf or Bat CD's for when they got ready to energy dump on a target and then did my own 3 second bursts to burn down 1.2-1.4k targets in moments, which I've noted a lot of non-stamina heavy builds typically sit at... or essentially a Rogue and myself could 100-0 a good number of twinks in 3 seconds... and a rogue is more or less set to unleash another substantial burst combo within 10 seconds of their last energy dump.

Give them a Hunter or Mage willing to keep snares/roots up and you could possibly get 2 rogues into a premade calling out targets and burning things down in a systematic fashion... this is only theory as far as premades are concerned though. I would personally like to try working with two Rogues and my own Melee-Ranged Burst Hunter into a BG and see how frequently we can burst down targets from 100-0.

I'd also suggest that any rogues doing 19s Premades bring tons of Thistle Tea.

im tired of shammys and locks getting buffs which is making shammy the most OP class and druids to with natures grasp something gotta happen for rogues

Blizzard isn't going to buff a class just for the 19 brackets :/

Hmmm... I think y'all finally got the buff you've been waiting for!
