If you are disgussing balanced maps, Nagrand is the correct choice in that matter. Other maps just favors other classes / comps depending what they are facing. The reason to this is due to the map's medium-sized size, making it not a bad map for casters, LoS isn't impossible to utilize, because the map is not too big, there is only one level to the map, meaning that knocks aren't as strong as on maps with multiple levels, etc. This is also why the map is usually the arena where the first arena match is played at a tournament level, because it doesn't in particular heavily favor any team (this is of course a 3's perspective when it comes to tournament level).
Then the losing team can pick a map that favors their comp.
Onlydreams covers one of many examples to how maps favors certain classes.
Another example where knocks becomes a great tool is Blade's Edge Arena, where you can knock people off the bridge.
Like-wise, dalaran arena can be a pain in situations like caster vs melee, because the map is so tiny, and line of sight is easily accessible. The casters have a hard time kiting, because the map itself is so tiny, and the melee has an easy time pulling back, because of the LoS. I don't know if Tol'Viron is playable in this bracket (haven't really gotten it actually), but that map is excellent for casters. Huge open mid, where LoS is far away. Great for kiting and exposing people to spammable CC. Ruins of Lordaeron is good for teams that likes to play fast paced, the LoS is clunked up around the middle tomb, the cart and the tombstone. Some comps can utilize the starting room for certain tac tics. It just all comes down to what you play and what you face to what favors you the most.

Hunter for example would literally shit on any team with a melee in it. They have an incredibly low cd knockback which is 10x easier to land perfectly now than it was before (instant trap triggers)- combined with the fact that they can disengage the ledge.
