That was the alpha mounts, bengal tiger and such, as previously stated. But I just wanted to add that taking 2 hours to jump my way to get to that cave in the reaches of STV just to find that there was nothing in the cave and have a friend say "we'll just sit our characters here for a month and hope to log in on spawn" was the coolest thing I ever experienced in WoW and that the feeling of "oh shit what are we doing this is an unknown" is something that has been lost to this game and hopefully will be reborn come WoD

It's a new player feeling, that you're probably never going to feel again. In this mmo, or any others tbh. I hope we get awesome VR tech soon in my lifetime. That would make for great mmos i think.

Yeah VR tech would be incredible. Call me a fool or such, but I do hope that WoD is spiced up enough with new and old things that while may not bring that feeling back; it can be the fuel for a new appreciation and pinnacle of fun in WoW.
I know the new highlighting of toys and world bosses is going to be a seller for me, but I do pray that they pull it together and release a product that can if not renew then reanimate that nostalgic feeling into something bright and new again for all players, old and new.
 
It's not a drop, but I have Stone Guard Greaves on prot pally. RoP on one rogue, Doomspike on another. MTB on my priest is kind of rare, I guess, but my alliance warrior got a set of those and a Tree Bark Jacket while leveling, so I'm not to sure. Is Nightreaver rare? Axe of the Enforcer, Grimclaw, Witching Stave, Blace Malice, Twisted Chanters Staff. Blackfang. Skeletal Club. Razor's Edge. Face Smasher. Diamond Hammer. Evocator's Blade. Stendal's Wedding Band,. NO MAGEFIST GLOVES, WTF!! Thobas Guantlets, FotL, Silverlinked Footguards, Foreman's Gloves and Leggings. Keller's Girdle, some MMs. DPR, and quite a few LFHs. Just off the top of my head, apologies to anything I left off.

Good place to ask this: In WoD when armor is much harder to get, would using 2+ pieces of defias gear be bis for druid tanks since the bonus is +10 armor? Aluwyn's legs only have 11 armor by themselves, and naga battle gloves only have 8. The total stat difference before scaling is 3 agil/4 stam for 8 armor. What percent dmg reduction does that give?
