What's the point of vet guilds?

Aren't you just better off making your own guild instead of joining a vet guild? You don't have to ask an officer when you want to xfer mats from your p2p. You're probably going to be funding yourself anyway unless you want crappy inexpensive enchants. Guild chat is pretty much f2pchat with shit talking about people that aren't in the guild so you aren't missing out anything there. You are going to be bging with the same people you always were. I actually don't get it lol.
 
You don't need to be in a guild to war game. Also I'm not sure if you would even want to wargame with some people in your guild. Plus, most of the time you're going to want to play with your friends anyway. The other thing with vet guilds is that all it takes is a couple noobs to make everyone in the guild look bad.
 
I'm not trying to dis vet guilds, I just don't see the point of them. Also, me along with a lot of other players play on multiple realms, with generally the same people. In that sense a vet guild is actually restrictive to realm.
 
Vet guilds basically are like any other guild. You don't need a Guild at any level. It's your own choice to join one if you want that social aspect in your game. Besides most vets guilds have a level 21 and up. which technically isn't a Pure Vet Guild. So it's just like any other Scum Bag Twink guild. lol

Join them or don't Join them, Nobody really gives a $H¥%.
 
I mean if you don't want things crafted for free, or a supply of potions, or help at your servers gurubashi arena, or gold/funding.
Even if you don't get any of that, it doesn't hurt to stay in one.

It's also good for meeting more twinks if you're on the right server. I just think you gotta show initiative. I mean if you're going to argue about it, it's pointless. There are many people here, even myself, who have helped and have been helped through guilds.
 
I could be wrong but i think the point is something called fun.
 
Agm is more helpful by 100s . Even more so in next patch with new boas at guru arena chest. You gonna be happy u have a 100.


Ask your current guild who is first on the wait list to try and get new boas in chest. The fun and drama incoming soon. When you get there and a cherry picky guild officer is already there while goblin is walking.

the real fun begin next patch but and boas from chest aren't even 100% drop rate.

Different strokes for different folks. What's fun for some people doesn't have to be fun for everyone in order to be valid for them. But you all knew that already.
 
First of, this like asking why there are rbg guilds and arena team guilds.

From one prespective, you need something to represent. You feel more pride knowing your representing someone. For me its representing both my guild and realm.

Being in a guild, you feel that you truely "belong" with the people you enjoy pvping with. To be honest, have you ever been in a worthy guild full of skilled players you know you can rely on?

And of course funding. We have many people my guild who are amazing at pvp, voice com, clutches, etc. The problem is that they were all f2p before and are a bit clueless on how to gain gold, so we fund them! Sure you can look at tips and find easy ways, but then that requires work and many annoyances. Factors like server economy and shit come in play. Why do all that when you can reroll and get say shadowfang and all your enchants instead of spending all your sub time farming gold or even the item itself. You wanna enjoy yourself with no hastle.

And as lenny mentioned wargamesss
Which btw Needs Mastery vs Nagaz with Attitudes comming up soon :p

Its just overall nice to fall back on a guild

As for nasty insulting players.. that sounds like a personall issue

And who wouldnt want to have a special bank were all your twink friends can access and be full of rares BoE, free repairs, and not to mention the guild buffs
 
I do understand where OP is coming from, some guild chats can be barren wastelands and lack activity (even with a decent amount of people online)... And that can be pretty damn boring.

But the point is, there ARE guilds out there that aren't like that.
 
Guys i have quite a few lv.100s and have had the privilege to be a part of some amazing guilds. My point is that vet guilds aren't really like that. It's pretty much an extension of f2pchat.

Like I said, if you want a truly BiS vet, you are going to be funding your own enchants. And if I'm spending 10k gold on my enchants do you really think i give a shit about the 50 silver i save on free repairs? If vets could get BoEs that my lv.100 p2p couldn't, maybe there would be a point, but there aren't. You still get guild buffs if you make your own guild so I don't see your point there. Also, you aren't really representing anything by being in a guild that every vet on your server is a part of. I can understand your point on the "need to belong", but if you have friends that you feel like you belong with already, that need becomes obsolete.
 
Why are u aiming this at vet guilds? Whats the big difference between vet guild and any other twink guild? Only thing I can see is the people without subs aren't gona have access to guild bank, but the guild bank really shouldn't be the ONLY reason you consider a guild worthwhile...

You need to be in a guild at other twink brackets because you don't have something like f2pchat at those levels. That is why I am targeting vet guilds. My contention is that there is very little difference between f2pchat and a vet guild (to the point where this difference is negligible). Sadly, guild bank is the only reason most vets even join vet guilds, which I am trying to say is pointless if you are funding yourself anyway.

Guessing you mean shoulder and pants chant...doesnt necessarly mean you can afford the enchants..

And what is an "amazing" guild to you, why are you in one? I honestly feel that vet guilds have the same purpose as any other
