Whats the Class Balance like atm?

Thanks for responding all, I have 2 more follow up questions,
What servers are still active/What do they do now days?
As in korgrath for arena's, AP for losts of people, NG/Misha/BWL/Vashj for small tight knit comunities, are these the same or have they changed?
And
How reasonable is it to try and get an AGM now days.

The following is my opinion. I'll go server by server from your question.

Korgath: What a great idea this started as. As I understand it, these days it's a ghost town unless someone coordinates arenas on Skype at which time people log in to play. I have no info on whether that still happens. It's a busy PvP server, so AGM might be hard? No solid info on this.
Aerie Peak: I was born and raised here and helped make it what it once was. It became too popular for its own good, attracting so many people of different personalities and motives that it splintered into subgroups. The Titan players on Alliance have vanished or dispersed (myself included, more on that later.) The Titan players on Horde, many seem to still be around, but generally stick to themselves and getting into a premade with them requires some inside contacts. I'm genetically incapable of being overly harsh on Aerie Peak because it's my mother, but I don't play here anymore. AGM pretty much unobtainable unless you're in the clique.
Moon Guard, Misha, BWL, Vashj: Still great, decent sized communities. I don't know much about Moon Guard but Sleepy is good people. Misha is becoming a strong Alliance PvE server, from what I hear. Blackwing Lair is a very strong Horde server. Vashj is a strong Alliance PvP server, and it's where I call home. If you want more info or opinion on Vashj, PM me, this isn't the place for advertising. I can't speak for the others but AGM on Vashj is very doable, especially since we help each other get it and we have support from several 90s.

Take everything I say with a grain of salt: Only you are going to know if a particular community is right for you.

I ran into an ap pre made earlier that day…5 hunters again but they had swapped out a few people in that screenie. Hadn't seen an ap pre made in months…I think these guys said they were just coming back to the game. In any event, they didn't bring much to the team other than guaranteeing 5 more people on the team spoke english.

What I noticed playing both sides yesterday: 9/10 games ally had at least one more hunter than horde. 9/10 horde had at least one more 24 than ally. 24 premades were 100% horde side. Horde always had wider class variety. Ally side had better team work 100% of games.

Looking at only the games I played yesterday it's easy to come to a chicken or the egg conclusion. Ally-side is forced to play hunters and to utilize teamwork because doing so is the only way to pull a win from a horde 24 premades….or is the other way 'round?

Who knows? I'll just say it's more fun to work for a win than it is to go along for the ride.

Having been playing a bit on Aerie Peak recently I'm not going to disagree on any particular point with Kincaid, but I wanted to throw in my own experience. There's not a ton of people constantly online but I've never seen less than 5 or so and there's been up in the 20s. Yeah, you'll get smashed by people's "AGM escorts" and never really see an uncontested field, but, not being in a huge rush, I've managed to ninja a few over the past couple weeks. More importantly though, I haven't had issues with or noticed the cliquey behavior that gets brought up. Rather, I've had a many different random people just being super friendly/nice completely out of the blue. Not sure if premades are actually running as that hasn't been my game style in the past, but people are constantly trying to set them up in chat at least so there's plenty of potential.

Wouldn't recommend anyone roll a char on Azshara, the only other realm I have experience with. There's at most 2 of us online in the f2p chat and our crz'd Illidan and Sagaras buddies make the world an interesting place.

From playing almost every day for the last 3 years I can say that AP Horde is still a great community with tons of teamwork, friendly helpful people, and probably the same amount of trolling/misbehavior thats been a constant ever since I started playing WoW. I dont think theres any clique-iness except with some of the more socially inept veterans.

Dedicated people still get AGM without the help of any P2P. People who want it find a way to obtain it even on AP, trust me. The most serious twinks will usually end up getting it.

I play both sides and Lil is correct. horde get at least two 24s per game. also Duo and his premades. Alliance is rare to have 24 twinks, and most of them suck.
I disagree, i played alliance for like 4 months and horde always had at least 2 24s in most of bgs,,,, then i moved horde and i'm playing it for like 3 months and guess what alliance has at least 3-4 p2ps in every bg. So conclusion : both factions have p2ps, and the faction that has more players also has the most p2ps... and that's alliance.

Sorry, but really, this is a myth that needs to die; the times have changed:

That's from earlier today. Thanks, AP Horde! Keepin' it classy.

Please. You play one faction I play 5-10 games every day on both. I'm not biased.

Oh yeah totally. That's why every fucking veteran but yourself hates AP now right? Shft? Hates it. Rhaellia? Hates it. Mindy? Hates it. Insects? Hates it. Pino? Hates it. Me? Hates it. Cotus? Hates it. Kahr? Hates it. Do I really need to go on? Please show me these veterans that like this AP (not the ones who no one knows because they don't talk, I meant the veterans that people came to AP to play with).

Way to fly off the handle man

Honored bc thats my name in the screenie #famous

Anywho agm is obtainable with a lil coaxing from the 90s, or ninjaing

And I'd say AP horde and ally seems like a good group, and Moon Guard welcomed me and was a kindly lil bunch when I had a char there <3

2k ferobites and 1k slamspam balanced? =(

The class balance and general pvp balance of 20-24 right now is worse it's ever been. Total shit, really.

some balanced 20 class/specs are elemental, dest lock, h priest and ret pally. imagine a bg with just those...
