What's the average /played of a hardcore F2P player? And if you are one, why do you F2P?

The term you are looking for there is "Stupid Vet" not "Hardcore Vet"
Ok then im stupid cuz even at realms flooded with twinks its hard to buy 50+ socket tert items with stats you looking for (and not mix of quickblade/fireflash) like full peerless/harm/etc. to make sets with stacked speed/leech.
:Sadge:

I spend 40 hours a week making real life money, why would I try to turn my hobby time into work time?

i also work full time (like most adults do). but a side hustle never hurts. it probably doesn't pay that well at the beginning, but once you figure out your own system (supplier, marketing, pricing, sustainable customer base), it's just free money on the side that pays the rent or keeps food on the table, maybe you should try it.

(i am an actuary yet my side business is selling laptops).

indeed it sucked when i missed the fishing tournament this weekend, and i didn't even make a sale because the guy was playing with me and told me to meet him at a place where he never showed up. but like everything else in life, you accumulate experiences from the set backs and failures, as long as you keep pushing, the money will start rolling in.

it's about the thrill the hunt, sort of like making gold in wow, it stops being about the money at some point, it becomes a trade that you try to perfect.

also, it's the interaction that makes it all worthwhile, i have learnt a lot from my customers over the past couple of years. even the worst customers, they can at least teach you what kind of people to avoid, or how to/how not to deal with specific types of people.

i think all i am trying to say is, try to be more open minded and more positive, instead of saying "is this guy really what he claims to be", say "what can i learn from this guy that will make MY life better". because putting down others does nothing to your life, but learning even 1 tiny thing from someone might improve your life dramatically.

I've turned two side hustles into careers in my time. One day I'll get drunk and regale you all with tales about my time as a professional touring poet.

But these days, Im quite comfortable enough that I value my free time much more than I would value a few more dollars in my bank accounts.

say "what can i learn from this guy that will make MY life better"... learning even 1 tiny thing from someone might improve your life dramatically.
My life rules, dude. I certainly dont need (or want) whatever it is you're selling.

My life rules, dude.

that's all it matters then. being happy and content is the ultimate goal and it would seem that you are already there.

i am not there yet, but i am genuinely happy for ya.

I'm happy for both of you, bros.

<3 hugs all around k?

Now, time to go grind out achieves and get that /played up on my F2P!

Wow...that has to be a record

Maybe i need to pay more attention to my own thread

My priest that I am maining for this xpac selen has 7 days at this lvl and 30 overall (use to be a 39) and I only have like 8k hks lol. I am the worse pvper on this site. not a true blue f2p but everything I have I got without gametime, minus the 11sp on weps I got those as a 39.

Babydoll probably lap them a few times round.
maybe for SL time, its like 20 days pre SL. Very casual stuff.

Release of vets, DK glitch, raid achieves, overall direction of the game, that all was just a cut after cut to my enjoyment of F2P and achievement grinding. But the prospect of competing against someone like Babydoll is like a swift sledgehammer straight to the face. Usually competition just motivates you to go harder but not this time. There's no way.

Edit: I think the absolute "perfection" to which Babydoll had his stuff completed would be the kind of motivation to give it all and try your best but the fact he was a vet too just made it impossible.
