So I can farm bullshit greens by killing mobs and they have a chance to drop and generate as epic? So for example epic forest leather bracers? Or does this only apply to blues upgrading to purple?

Well ya plus the fact that obtaining the good stuff will probably come from farming rares and unique mobs will be a lot harder than how we normally obtain our bis gear.
