Stopped playing 2 years ago and was wondering how twinks look now days. Is Aerie Peak still the number one server and how many twinks are online for alliance/horde during peak hours? Are there many familiar faces from Cata? I randomly clicked a thread and read about skirmishes, are these confirmed to be coming and available for f2p?

EDIT: thanks for the responses, looks like ill come back in another 2 years

Aerie peak is flooded with many f2p and p2p (not with f2p addon)
Horde AP has more players than alliance

There are 20-30 players on during peak hours

24 twinks have increased in numbers

F2p twinking involves jajas and brs

Many hunters rogues paladins and druids

24 twinks are super op with their enchants

A continuation of gy farming

Funny how those op 24's are getting farmed by my f2p rogue.

Pugs havent really changed its like 3 years ago with lots of alliance agility users, druids and paladins

alliance dominates and usually(not always) farms WSG like in cata.

i have 11 wins out 56 on a rogue and something like 21 out of 63 on another character, which is a somewhat accurate win ratio of a solo queing non healing horde character. 1/4

Bascially expect alliance to be stacked with fotm 75% of the time like my morning pancakes that I get at waffle house, or three out of every four game, with horde having 24s and having fotm the other 25%, as reflected by a the win ratio,

tl;dr before you push that que button just expect alliance to almost always be stacked with FoTM

It's honestly not that bad. If you are looking for competition, pug on horde or premade on ally. Those options give you the best chance. If you are looking for socializing, reroll on a newly established server where you may meet/see some of your friends. Little to none will be left on AP or the other "top" servers you knew when you left.

As always the time you queue will greatly effect the win ratio. You can believe whoever you'd like but from my experience in the bracket (more than the others commenting on here, no offense to anyone) games are complete trash from around 8 am-11 am EST, whoever has the less jajas will normally win. Expect to be the only english speaker on your team. noon-4pm~ EST ally normally dominates. More fotm on and ally has the advantage 24/premade wise. 5pm-10pm~ games normally slightly favor ally. I'd say a 65% win ratio. Better horde get on and most of the ally 24 go away. 10pm-4am~ EST horde completely dominates. Premading 24s and typically horrible ally makes games horrible for ally just like noonish does for horde.

These times are approximate of course however that is the typical effects each time of day has. Expect high active nights such as fri-sun night and thurs night to be flooded with horde 24s. Generally a 3 man is enough to make the bgs enjoyable during the time of day your faction tends to lose

yeah exactly what she said Its best to premade on alliance for competition

make a druid or a hunter and slap an eyepatch for maximum enjoyment

Dont forget to solo que on horde, preferably as a mage

np we dont need as horde, ally will lose by their poor decision makin

I solo que on horde as mage everyday and have still have fun most times.
But yeah, hunts are a bit annoying these days: insta shots, huge burst, monster mobility, pets speed potting and breaking ccs...Problem is that in many matches there are like 4+ hunts in one of the sides and game gets boring. The lack of objectivity in the bracket is terrifying also. Best way to see hows the bracket is playing it. Good luck :)

Just checked and my mage has 414 WSG and 266 wins (95%+ of the time pugging). That's almost 65% win ratio. So yeah, I probably play when Horde has the smarter guys. Or maybe I am a punk ass op mage.

EDIT: Just checked my warrior and both shammies, they all have almost the same win ratio in wsg, from 64.15% to 65.85%

just completely ignore him.. Everything he says is completely biased and so full of bs to back up his bs opinion that no matter what facts you give it will be wrong. We all know pugging as a horde is dreadful and you only win 25% of the time

no matter what side you play on you end up with retards on your team its just they usually speak Spanish when you're on horde side and for some reason i find it more tolerable if i don't know what they are talking about ........

It's not that bad if you're a good player. Most of your competition are Brazilians using trial accounts for their intended purposes (they're new), so they're pushovers, but you're going to have a bad time if you're communicating with your team because there's currently 3 languages spoken (4 if you count the occasional French Canadian) and most Spanish and Portuguese speaking players don't take the game as seriously as English players. If you're a good player it's really faceroll, a geared F2P is like a 24 compared to the average jaja.

I can't say about the late afternoon/evening/night, because I only get to dabble in that occasionally, but this pretty much sums it up accurately, from my experience. Also, alliance have waaaaayy more 24's in this space of time lately, and most of them are laughably bad.

orly this is a pure 5.4.8 character
v10alGF.jpg

i have another one with a similar win ratio. What a solo queing horde should expect.

Ofc there may be horde characters that have a good win ratio by premading or that have been created during patch 5.0 or something when the hunters who were piloted by kids who can barely wipe the drool off their faces or tie their shoes werent buffed enough

but no matter how much evidence is present eyepatches will stay in their own eyepatch world

In the last couple of weeks since I started playing again, I've only won 1 WSG match as Alliance. Most of the time we end up gettin GY locked, so I just run around the sides looking for butterflies to play with.

AB is a totally different story. AB is usually a really close hard fought battle that Alliance squeaks out a win in.

Well, I created a Tauren Retridin on a empty server a few weeks ago and only pugged it. I would post a pic but servers are off right now. It has a Win/Played rate of about 23/28 wsg and it is the total oposite of your picture, so maybe you had a unlucky week and I had a lucky one.

Speaking of Jajas, I understand them all! yeahh.. Well, what most of them seek in bgs is top dmg and top kill blows (like many ppl here also do). That's how they see who is good and thats where their winning concept is created. Whenever I can I try to explain stuff, but they are just too many for me to give gearing tips or coordinate them in game. So yeah, they will probably run from efr to fr with their bows/daggers/avenger shield to hunt the clothies toons all day just to see the big numbers in the end, and flag? Where did you see a flag in wsg? (unless, of course, there is the average 2120hp jaja prot pally spaming "passa" to you and that, when he realizes you won't pass him the flag, he returns to efr to wait till you cap/die to pick it for that terrible solo run we all know).

also Talok, mate are you sure you have a 60% pug win ratio vs alliance, without afking?
