What bracket after HOA/Azerite nerf?

So 39s are pretty much dead. They felt amazing, but, fun was detected.

I am considering 29, but I dislike the slowness of the classes, and I really like some of the azerite traits. 39 really felt like a sweetspot, as 49 has 3/3 PvP talents + 6/7 normal talents and nearly all abilities. So maybe I'll go 49, idk. The gem nerf was really lame in particular as it typically took weeks to get a full set... but ofc this is blizzard and the only good blizzard was before this game became popular.


Anyways, what do you guys think - 49s viable? 29?

if the Heart is still a lvl 50 req to unlock, you could level a toon you got the neck on up to 49. anyone who was a bfa 110-119 will have the neck too. no idea if the trick to get it would work on a 40-49 right now.

this toon would be BiS chromie time pvper

yeah what i mean you are suppsed to be 50 to unlock the opener quest. so when that eventually is fixed, HoA should be full GF'd still usable for 40-49? not 100% sure though, very little info on 40-49 right now

im not sure how warmode chromie time works, but a 49 would be the world pvp chromie time toon if its a thing

because your thread title was like “hoa got nerfed” and it would have been a repeat “hoa got nerfed” thread and i was coming in to delete it but it’s not really about the nerf, it’s about you wanting to find a bracket now that azerite traits are gone.

so i renamed it to save you from getting deleted :)

I would love to like that bracket. it includes my OG-60-now-25 and man that would be cool. Sadly, there's just too many abilities and talents lacking I think for me. I'll give it a try, sure, but, I just am not feeling that :/ Still open to hearing why it may be good, though.

Though for considering 49 I guess I just timewalked-IRL to like 2 weeks or so ago when I decided to give 39 a go and have to look up all the gear now @_@

20-29 is looking real good right now. Tons of gem gear from BC makes for amazing secondary stats. My 27 (70) fire mage is sitting on like 60% crit unbuffed

havent done any WPvP but been using my old 119 twink to fly my 20 around chromie time and i can say the 49 (119) doesnt feel powerful at all... and that's with lots of pieces of anniversary warforged blah blah gear and azerite. o_O

what class is it, how developed is it, does it have any azerite? my 39 felt pretty weak at first but just yesterday it was so powerful i was having fun just doing quests (imagine that). azerite traits (esp for ret - esp empyrean power) can be total game changers

That's really cool character you have here.

As far as WPvP goes Chromi time excludes all max level characters and phases everyone in it on one shard it seems (almost all Horde run WM/ON because it's 10% free XP, there is some Alliance but ratio seems to be 3/1 or 4/1).

There probably will be sub brackets: 40-s (for max stat scaling), 45-s (former 110-111 bracket, got all the talents except last one, have access to some azerite pieces especially if collected them before), 49-s (former 119 bracket not as good on scaling but often got gear from last anniversary event and can farm azerite pieces in dungeons - right now new azerite pieces from there have 48 lvl requirement).

Those brackets have similar goals and gearing path and will be generalized as 40-49, like we had 110-119 before.

Currently 45-s looking something like this: https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-gb/character/eu/doomhammer/Ellin Trinkets and rings will be replaced with 60 socketed warforged (or crafted) from Legion but the rest will probably stay 50-s where the item enchants are capped atm. We'll see what Shadowlands enchants looks like soon enough.

Very nicely geared shame they ruined legion legendarys, how did you get level 50 gear im curious to see if I can get some haha.
