Was Common Legion Blade Intentional?

For me it seems so. It's hard to imagine Blizzard randomly putting in an ilvl 100 grey (make that 2 if you count the pole-arm) into legion content when all of the other grey items are 350-ish with level requirements. The ilvl just doesnt match near its content. I see it as a little thing they added to give a little edge at lower brackets for instanced pvp. And since the stat squish sort of nerfed the based damage in most lower lvl weapons, the advantage of having an item like this or enti's sword would be minuscule compared to having them in MoP. Enti's sword was more of an urgency to fix, where as Common legion blade seems like a statless upgrade from shadowfang.

I can see it staying for the long run. Color me surprised if they fix it.

It's already nerfed on PTR =P

In PTR the speed is 2.40 but the iLvl remains 100.

No it isn't, the iLvL is exactly the same and it still has no Level req on PTR. Only the Weapon Speed was changed.

I don't think "nerf" means what you think it means. It is in fact a relatively colossal nerf for the effected classes, going from the slowest 1 hander in the game to 2.4.

Enti's was 100% intentional. Given how long it lasted and coupled with the obvious reference to EQ, etc.

They do this occasionally.

Unless they "fix" wands the sword wont be bis for any caster that can use swords.
