Alright, as you can see the title speaks for itself. I feel I am ready to record and post pvp videos but I have no experience doing this and have no idea how to even start so any help/guidance/tips would be very much appreciated!!!

get 1080i screen and bandicam will do the trick.
Sony vegas for editing imo.

get fraps and windows live movie maker, when you are done recording take all the pieces of the clip and merge them into the full video using live movie maker then upload it to youtube

of course to run fraps you will have to set a keybind to play/stop

you will need to set an output folder for your videos as well

I like fraps, but if your specs aren't the best (like mine, when I played), recording can be a bit of a pain.
I'll share an embarrassingly bad video that I recorded before I quit, so that you can see what Fraps looks like and maybe have an idea of how it would work on your computer. It was recorded on a laptop with 4gb of ram, an i5 processor, and a really miserable video card.

Low/medium settings allowed me to maintain 25-35 (normal) fps, but that could crash pretty hard if something graphically intensive suddenly happened.

Some TIPS, Fraps and Bandicam are both good recording programs, if not the best i know. Sony Vegas is the best editing software for me and that is what i currently use.

Recording : You never know how the game is going to go, so keep recording it. If you see a good play incoming record it, even if it fails. You can edit and chose which one to use afterwards =) !

Hey guys thanks for the help going to attempt to download fraps and try uploading my first pvp video.

Update: I went to the fraps site and it froze on me so I tried bandicam and it works I recorded a video but when I watched it there was a small delay.
The YouTube dream may still be out of reach :/

Set your recording resolution lower and it will clean up the lag. You really need a good video card to record and play WoW at the same time. I had to set it pretty low for my laptop too.
