Wandering Isle Stayers

Nice find, might have to do that on my hunter someday. Granted if you die down in the wood of staves you'd probably need to redo the process to get back in I'd assume since Fatigue death in that area takes you to Laughing Ridge. :)

Found easier way to wood of staves for every class. just run to gate where you normaly go, unstuck yourself near it (spam: cast hearthstone or have it on cd for not getin ported to inn) then just past gate as ghost. no need in jumps.

No luck in glitching out of isle, yet. did however found that if u cast only disengage without moving u can jump away from turtle in water. not long away thru due to fatigue.

Found that you get zoned to The Great Sea while away from turtle in water

You cant stand on Shen-zin Su - NPC - World of Warcraft head. end up In his head ^^

And who is that Windslice guy and what class / level is he? :)

Windslice is a level 15 shaman i spent time messing around with when i was testing mind control on all mobs. i noticed her in general chat talking about wandering isle stayers.

edit: got to level 26 :D

earthroots give me 240 exp rested where as the rest give me 20 exp rested. Is there anyone got any advice on what route i could take to maximize the exp?

Hi and welcome! Crystalpall did show me a route at singing pools which has the most earthroot per hour i believe. I would have gladly show you the route if i had some time left, but have been off wow for almost 2 months i think... But you should ask him about that route :)

Also was wandering if someone here still plays tibia? Downloaded the game again and started leveling a new toon for old times! ^^

Crystalpall what was your motivation for the WI Stayers?

It's my passion to stay in first area in games. It started in Tibia where I stayed in Rookgaard and I just followed :)

There are fw things that make a zone "stayable"

1. No option to come back after leaving
2. First zone after char creation
3. Levelling without limit / until max lvl possible

And things that make the zone perfect:

1. Closed economy (you have no mailbox etc so Wandering Isle has it's own prices)
2. Community (I love you all)

What do you do in the isle after the quest line is completed? And where in the isle is the most common area where you guys "chill"? What special things do you guys like to do in the Isle?

I level up by daily quests and herbs, still slowly writing things up and complementing Wandering Isle wiki. We chill out mostly at Mandori Village, I like to sit on my turtle talking with people. Starting at lvl 20 every 10 levels someone has (so 30, 40, 50 etc) we celebrate in the local inn, drinking and partying like Pandaren like (at least on Magtheridon).

I also go farming for my collection, I collect rare stuff and hope to soon share my screenshot. There are some quite rare items like Glimmering Shards, Mageroyal or Schematic: Mechanical Squirrel, Gemmed copper gauntlets (or the winter hat, but no one has that yet, well one lucky bastard with wowhead addon has and probably left the isle) that I like having and I like the feeling of collecting more and more.

I practice trapping in case we have a botter within our midst, it's an art (yes, an art) of killing people in non-pvp zone. Every class can do mob traps, some classes have mechanics to do gravity traps or lure the potential botter into a fire (I'm looking at you priests, get that lvl 84 fast)

People that usually stay on Magtheridon Wandering Isle come here because of my recruitment posts in doubleagent related threads, so they focus on levelling up. We try to show them the best exp/h routes and explain everything.

There are also Dodgeball matches and parkour runs, I plan a theatre spectacle if we get more active pandas.

Interesting, how does dodge ball work in WI? And do you guys use F2PAddon to chat all together or do you use the global chats?

We use F2P chat and the general chat of the isle, and dodgeball works like this:

you have a monk with Chi Burst and the Ox skillshot skills and others have to catch the monk. If they catch him they win, if he hits someone with the ball (Ox or Chi) they are dead until everyone is hit or someone touches the monk.

It's fun parkour / speedup challenge, especially vs these pesky shamans in ghost wolf and huo!

The dodge ball seems a bit confusing to me right now but not too much.

How do you get Huo's speed buff? Do you not complete his quest or does he give you his buff in the temple? Also is the dodge ball event in Wu-Song?

I also am thinking of joining you guys just get away from PvP and stuff.....this seems very interesting

People with Huo just complete quests up to him and don't do quests later on. Also you can't enter the temple, which is why i didn't pick it because I want to see every place. Dodgeball event starts in Mandori Village and we race through the whole isle usually (fastest catches are around singing pools)

If you wanna join us come on Magtheridon EU ;)
