Visting Memorials. Hidden Areas and other forgotten places

Awesome stuff here! I've been to maybe half of those places mentioned, maybe less. A few there I had never even heard of. Thanks :)
 
Did anyone mention the hatch in Sholazar Basin? One of the best pop references in game.

Not sure if it's been mentioned before, but The Upside-down Sinners in Karazhan Crypt are a direct reference to the 1986 Kurt Russell film Big Trouble in Little China. In the film, the hero and his sidekick swim through the Pool of The Upside-down Sinners. So while that room may be ultra creepy in WoW, it's a total ripoff of an ultra cheesy (and awesome) 80s flick.

Incidentally, Raiden, of Mortal Kombat fame, was inspired by The Three Storms in the same film.

Now you know. :)
