Veterans need their own sub-section

What does the OP want?
A section for Vet/Subbed level 20's? We have that.
A section for Trial level 20's only? We have that.
A way to designate which threads are for Trials, Vets and Subs only? We have that.

The questions I pose are as follows.
Does he want to restrict trial members from posting any threads in the "20's" section? It seems like it.
Why would we want to segregate a portion of the community away from us like that? I do not know.
Are they causing undue problems or something? No, not really. Considering some of the past issues we have had or compared to some of the "other" bracket's threads here on TI.
So why change something that is not broken? Answer- you do not.

Maybe if the "F2P" Forum wasn't a sub forum you had to go through the Level 20 Twinking forum to get to... Put it up in the "Brackets" alongside Level Twenty Twinking and 20 - 29 so people find it easier.

What he is getting at is that F2Ps have their own subforum. Yet to get to theirs they have to go through what you guys are considering the Vets / P2P 20 part of this forum, and they still post in it.

What he is asking for is that Vets / P2P 20s get our own so we can have our own stickies, events, ect. Which I agree with Light 100%.

The F2P section should be for F2P armory, F2P questions, F2P guides, ect. Same for Vets, if we had our own section, it would be strictly for Vet things such as the guilds, armory, ect. Then the whole Level Twenty section should be for both combined where things such as events and Neon's best of threads should go. ;)

F2Ps and Vets are two different types of twinks. One day people will realize that.

Myrm

I decided to start this thread due to all the action happening with Veterans;
Soon more to come in the future, and possibly popularity and population increase.

There will need to be a few stickied threads from some official posts I have observed.
With that being said, there is already a lot of clogged stickies on the Twenty Section .

What clogged stickies? There is only one that may not pertain to P2Ps on the main page and one that may be outdated. I addressed the issue of stickies almost a year ago when we had almost TWENTY stickies on the front page. We had more stickies than threads. Thankfully they got split. It for this reason I never posted the enchanting scaling spreadsheet here in the level 20 section and chose to post it in the 20-29 instead.

I understand that. It is just one click.
Think about it...
One
Single
Click
To hit the f2p tab.
Or you can just go to it directly just like you to go to the level 20 section. And never ever see the Vet/Sub 20 section. The level 10's don't have problem with it. Why should Trials?
The F2P section has all of that that you mentioned. And more!! I bet some people don't even look. See?

First thing, there is no such animal as F2P in WoW. It's a starter account.
Yes, starters and veterans are different but also very similar. This is why the tag format made perfect sense. Much information is useful for all while some is useful only for a subset.

Either way, it would serve the forum better if a decision would be made rather than the "throw it to the wall and see what sticks" approach of having both a separate and tagged section.

There's a simple rationale here that is being ignored in favor of egos. Then again, this is a place where people continue hanging on to the term F2P when in reality it just doesn't exist and never has.

It is quite simple.
You either have a Trial account( Starter) that you have never paid for. Or a pay to play account. Those are your two choices, period.
Naturally, you can have multiples of both.
Now, within the pay to play you either have a current account( Subbed) or a lapsed account ( Veteran ).
Either way there are only two types of accounts...Trials and Paid.
At any rate the game is practically entirely free to play once you made your initial investment anyways. Because, if you can muster up ~1k/ day, the game pays for itself. 1,000 gold is easy pickings if you set yourself a daily goal.

Wait..... What?

Starter accounts don't have to pay to play WoW and don't have a certain amount of time until their account gets locked up until you pay. So that means start accounts play for free.. So yes, there is such an animal as F2P in WoW. Hence why they are called F2P Twinks.

Yes...
Trials=Starters=Free to Play=F2P
They all are the same thing, whether they are linked to a paid account or not.
This has been driven into the ground over and over so many times over the years, as I am sure that Burg can attest to, that we really do not need to go over it again.

Starter accounts are NOT F2P accounts.
F2P means free access to a game probably with micro-transactions for speed-ups or cosmetics. F2P is Rift.

A Starter account in WoW is restricted in too many ways for anyone not self-deluded to consider F2P. I'm not even going to bother listing the limitations as it would be easier to list what's allowed. Tokens must be bought or earned from a paid account.

How you decide to organize and divide the forum is debatable, sure. Whether WoW Starters are F2P or not however should be evident.

Right...

and I shouldn't waste time on this site anymore honestly.
The mob rule here can't see that it's definition of Starter and F2P are redundant (and F2P as defined by the gaming world outside of this forum does not exist in WoW).
That might speak well enough for where this place is headed.

So what...
It was an acronym made up long ago. It has been used by the Trial account users that did not want to type out Trial or Starter every time they were referring to themselves. On this site Trial/Starter accounts and F2Ps are used interchangeably. Just as people refer "29's" to a P2P or subbed account in this bracket. Whether they are level 29 or 27 or whatever. Just as "24's" were referred to the same way before the bracket merger. Does that mean they are "wrong"? No... That just is that way that players refer to each other.

You are getting Free to Play confused with Freemium.
Freemium allows for microtransactions.
