US Vet wargame attempt friday 26th

Its been mentioned before, BUT this really is the first 10v10 we have put together in long time. Expect it to be rough and I don't mind the criticism of quality.
We really need to comprehend this ^ and not start losing hope.
No one is blaming Neon for all this, if anything were thankful to have even gotten games going. And if anyone is blaming him then, it just shows what kind of person you are.
But on the other side of the bridge,@Neon you can't start giving up simply because you are getting some criticism on the first day.
I'm here trying to figure out some good rules to make this more balanced in terms of being limited to the people/classes we can get.
Were all in this together.

On the day of the event what is really needed is p2p's who can make groups.
The one we had on horde was clueless and just left and joined constantly every time we asked him to invite someone. None of us had gametime but him.
Now in terms of recruiting. Just help. Don't need to state it out.

i've said it before, i just feel blessed that somebody decided to start stuff up. any criticism starts and ends there.... nothing happened until somebody made it. i mean, i do hope for some stuff, in good faith. here's my concise wishlist
  • try to be tighter on gear standards
  • try to have an experienced player leading either raid and/or have a signup for the role of raid leader
  • try to be tighter on class balance when it comes to filling- in terms of people being willing to shuffle alts to keep the teams balanced
i think these are just things to aim for, and can do a lot to keep the games healthy, competitive and fun.

Honestly this ^
The whole reason behind f2p is to play for free
The only reasons why you did not go veteran -
  • You do it for the challange (To expand on this.. these "challange" type people are seen more as... 'PvE" type players not PvP. So its understandable for them not to want to wargame.) Like crystalpall who stays pure f2p to hunt achivements etc. seeing how far they can go with a f2p
  • You were 8 years old during WoD with no money to buy the game
  • You feared Vets would somehow be forced to continue playing
In terms of PvP... i just dont see why you would not go vet. Why purposely gimp yourself? Simply for the challange? You might as well throw on grey gear if thats what your truly looking for.
 
Hey these games were really fun.

I get Tences point. Ally felt like underdogs first game but once we had a hunter the next game was the closest we played.

Then game 3 had 3 discs but it was actually close until we bungled a pass mid and went down 2-0. It was end of the night and peeps seemed tired.


Moving forward i think the constructive critisicm about team comp is better than nitpicking gear.


A cap on 2 of same class in a 10 seems really fair. Push it to 3 for 15s.
 
I thought the games went much better than the previous ones I've played. Both teams were able to secure kills. Both teams threatened to win ( except first game). The fact that it was 1-1 and had a 3rd for tie breaker and peeps are complaining about balance is daft.

Time to organize for a epic bg day cause I still haven't seen em and we have the population for vet f2p and 29s for it.
