870 GS Element Shaman missing in this List
For most Classes you are correct. There are a few where this doesn't hold true but that's mainly for same Main Stat across Armor types like Holy Pally wearing non Plate to take advantage of the Int from Mail/Leather/Cloth, Boomkin-Tree/Hunter/Shaman/MW Monk.I've noticed a lot of misconceptions about 101 twinking in regards to how to properly gear each class and spec. I've ran multiple sims that support that most plate wearers should stick with plate as opposed to using other armor types to replace 800 ilvl quest reward and M HFC gear.
For my DK I could easily jump another 25-30 total item levels if I mixed in non-plate gear, but the dps loss is not worth it (not to mention sinking gold into 870+ gear).
Now, if you're not interested in maximizing your effectiveness (or you have a really different playstyle that requires different secondary stats) and all you care about is making that ilvl number go up then disregard!

I also agree with this. Seems like the list is some competiton as to who can spend the most gold or get lucky on their AH. I can do better damage as 822 ilvl than i can with 835.I said most! And those other classes you mentioned don't wear plate so that's a different argument altogether.
Well I mean if you’re using multiple BoE types because they have leech/socket or if they help primary stats than that’s understandableI also agree with this. Most of the casting classes benefit a lot from extra Mastery, so a shaman or druid have a good available Armour set to wear lower gear but still benefit from the Int.
I'm currently playing Vengeance and Blood, so it's quite important to keep the str / agi and not so much stacking of secondaries.
You can get essentially have sockets on every item. You have 6, it's only half.
From your build up over the past 6 weeks of a new project coming, i anticipated something stronger.
I hear Hunters are among the best 101 classes, which secondary stat is the most effective? I see you more of less have a spread, but a bit more focus on haste.
You get for mastery (+150 gems are cheap btw) there are not yet any enchants on the back or rings. Interesting to know which choice you will go with.
