Armory Announcement​

Hi guys, there's some massive changes regarding the armory. Everything is now processed by a tool made by @Aelobin.
The armory will be updated twice a week and will no longer require me to check each and everyone hand-by-hand, which will prevent me from making mistakes in ilvls and other changes.

The massive change made to the armory is that we are no longer going to be using avg ilvl, nor equiped ilvl. The system we are using is a BOE Item Level, this way people who are NOT using mixed gear will no longer be listed as the lowest ilvl rather then people who use mixed gear.

As it stands, some people get pushed to the top of the ilvl rankings by equipping BoE's that don't match their primary stat (whether this is worthwhile is debatable). There's also a huge ilvl increase when using the 2H mace, 1H maces or 810 relics. So what it's like now is a "normalized ilvl" (or it might be easier to think of it as "BoE ilvl"). It would ignore your weapon and only average the slots which are necessary for your class/spec, plus any extra slots you've decided to equip BoEs in.

Here's some more details:
- If you're using int gear on an agi/str class it will still be taken into account, but it won't push you above people who choose not to
- Legendaries will always boost your ilvl as though they're 1/14th of your gear, regardless of how many slots are averaged
- 910 Legendaries will be treated as 940 legendaries (feels fairer since it's not like those people can do anything about it)
- If you're using the WoD ring then it will ignore that slot so it doesn't pull your ilvl down
- If you're only using 1 BoE trinket (the other could be something like Tarot, Soul Cap, Chipped Soul Prism) then it will ignore the lower trinket
- Weapons are not included in the calculation

Other Changes:
- Armory is now sorted by highest ilvl, for each spec rather then ilvl/side.
- Slight changes to the layout of the armory.

We decided to go for this calculation because it seems to be the most fair and effective one.
For new armory submits, you only have to post your armory link. We will calculate your ilvl based on your equip and it will be added to the main post.

I think the "BoE Item Level" will be a better way of judging how well geared someone is at a glance - think of it as what your ilvl would be if your weapon and non-BoE slots didn't drag it down :)

I can understand that people might find it a bit confusing though, so if the majority would prefer having equipped ilvl back then I've coded that as an option in the armory scanner I made for @Changzu, so he can change it easily.

Just spent the last hour going over all the armories of the current armorylist.
Its seems to me that almost 90% is incorrect compared to the actual itemlevel of the characters.
Going from everywhere between 10-40 ilvl+/- off the accurate number.


So Im gonna do you a favor and make a list of all mine, so I can assure you they're correct:

Mains

Alts

Im also looking for more twinks to do AP grind in nelth runs, so add Qriik#2954/Qriik#2311

That's your BoE ilvl which is explained in Changzu's post above.

It's based on BOE level, not on avg ilvl/equiped ilvl. All ilvl are correct. I have added your other characters to the list, they will be updated later today.
 
Alright, after receiving quite some private messages I will be changing the thread to equiped ilvl rather then BOE ilvl since alot of people don't seem to understand that.

So the people who just come here to flex their ilvl epeens and can't even be bothered to read a simple post? Really wasn't hard to understand but if that's what the masses want then so be it :p

Well that's why I went with equiped ilvl, not people who buy BOE weapons to boost their item level. :p
