It has been just over three years now since I joined the TwinkInfo staff as a moderator, with two of those years as an administrator. We have been through a lot together both internally and with the community as a whole. There were times when it was just Shane and I left to manage the forum and quell the storm known as twinks. Since then we have acquired many capable team members to help regulate and improve how we handled the difficult situations that arise. At first it seemed impossible to find those mature and humble enough to take on the task of moderating not just their beloved community but their close friends as well. In no way is it an easy job to make moral judgments without any outside influence. So many have come and buckled under the pressure, failed to adhere to unbiased methods, wanted nothing but their ideals to be upheld, or merely moved on. Yet, many stayed, learned, worked diligently, and basically made this day possible for me.
With that said, and with nothing but high adoration for Shane, TI Staff, and the community we love, I’d like to announce my resignation as an Administrator of TwinkInfo.
My available time to dedicate to the site has become basically non-existent. Life happens and believe it or not even twinks grow up! Shane and I are in agreement that it is time, and we now have a good team to fill that void. The current staff basically knows what I’d say already and with Broken leading them I have nothing but complete faith in their abilities to maintain order.
To the Community,
Whether you love me or hate me, thank you for making the past few years…interesting. Lol so much has happened and changed that I always find myself baffled by the fact that you all are still here doing what you do best. Since I know how all of you can act at times, PLEASE take it easy on the TI Staff, but of course give them hell at times as well! Haha, it’s only fair!
This community is something created out of our love for the game we play and everything the twinking brackets have to offer. The comradery, the rivalries, the strategies, the exploits, the people, and yes even the trolls! These are all what have brought us together over the years, yet some have begun to try and ruin that. The fact that someone would need to resort to illegal lengths to achieve victory or enact revenge proves that they really don’t understand what we are about. Yet, all we can say to them is go ahead. Don’t let a few rotten apples ruin the real reason we are all here.
This isn’t farewell, as I am not going anywhere and will always be available via pm. I will make time if needed for the community and this forum, so behave yourselves or I will break out my old ban hammer once more.
