I guess what i'm trying to say is - you made it personal by mentioning what I do for a living which had nothing to do with the topic at all. If that's all that merited a response then why derail the thread?
 
As a newb to the twink lvl 20 stuff who has just been enjoying the game - I didn't do enough research before the pre patch to get every powerful link in the chain so I get why some people lose their shit , also to me the whole journey has been a hilarious one. I know alot of really good players and experienced twinks who are frustrated they won't be as imba as their guild mates currently.

I think People who love the game and want to play alot and feel gimped by others uber gearing are the ones who have this reaction most.

I feel them man

And yeah I don't think it's the best to report to blizzard or for ppl on the this forum to report those people.

Also agree no point in banning. People can access forums no matter what . And overall it won't change anything.

I have the OP grandfathered gear and I still hope they nerf it. GF'd gear is a huge barrier to entry for the community. Just look at the frequency of threads on this forum along the lines of "is it worth it to make a twink" because people arent interested if they arent going to be able to be on par gear wise.

thats a huge, long term problem for twinking.

But I'm also of the opinion that "we reported this on the PTR, they didnt fix it, thats on them" so get the gear while you can and dont go out of your way to tell blizzard about it.
 
Disappointed.

I think this will hurt the motivation for people to share information, especially on this site. There should be no right or wrong answer here. Twinks get the best gear thats available to them, regardless if its a bug, exploit, and intended or not, anyone whos not on board with that doesn't belong here.

Back to the days of goldshire inspecting, BG inspecting and logging off in irrelevant gear, etc.
 
I am personally not going to share any gearing I find with this website since I know someone is watching the threads and copy pasting it right into blizzards hands. I understand that the gear and things will be reported eventually but this website should be a place where we can share cool shit w/o fearing it will be reported and nerfed. Just my opinion

and how would you suggest we do that?

look at the "users who have read this thread" list and tell me how many of those names you see ever make a post. 162+ viewers on just this thread and I probably recognize half of them. There are so many users here who just browse. You want me to go through and scan the blizz forums for similar avatars or some shit and try to ban anyone I think might be posting or reporting? How am I supposed to monitor in-game reports from members?

If you post anything anywhere online, its gonna get picked up by someone. And thats if you're even on the cutting edge, but we arent. XPOff is like a week behind ownedcore or even rextroy in finding bugs and exploits.

So how would *you* keep this forum a "safe space" for your twinking exploits? Just ban this one user?

Keeping this place safe for thinks is really easy. There is no complete solution but you ban this one person. You are thinking in absolutes and for such a large platform that does not work. The ban is used to send a message that moderators do not approve of what he’s doing. It’s the same as the criminal justice system. Jail is a deterrent it does not mean that people will not commit crimes but I make it so people think b4 doing them. Just food for thought this one person isn’t the problem it’s you guys being complacent and saying that this is fine that’s the problem.

So you just want a scapegoat. You know it wouldnt make a difference but you're grouchy about nerfs and want the catharsis of seeing someone punished for it? So you're trying to make some grand moral case for why I should ban someone on this forum for actions you *think* you've proven that they took on another forum?

We can clearly see that it's not going to happen. You would rather make it personal than to actually do what this site was meant to do.

Yes ban this man for posting our super top secret information to blizzard. This is top secret twink information that can not be gained anywhere else he is like a russian spy during the coldwar or something.

Guys need to calm down a tiny bit its just gear.
 
It’s all good I don’t even have a azerite gear so It really doesn’t affect me too much it’s just interesting to see how these things are being handled. Very very interesting.
