One "game" I play a lot when I'm bored or in between queues is typeracer. I got into it 2 years back when I realized I was actually a decently fast typer and i may or may not have watched reckful's streams but thats besides the point. two years later of casual racing and I have more than half a thousand completed multiplayer races across 4 different accounts .

anyone else waste their time on this shit?

just noticed tonight that I am ranked among the top 1.7% of fastest typists, whether or not that's a gross thing in your eyes idc i'm kinda proud of that shit :s

my highest WPM race is actually 133wpm, not 110 like my accounts says, but since it was typed in a practice course it did not count towards my stats as I am not a premium member

would be interesting to see some other accounts my fellow twinks might have

I have been playing almost exclusively on a Chromebook lately because for some reason the keyboard on those things just feels right for pushing high speeds, I wouldn't use it for anything else. (My PB is 144 or 145.)

This is the one my battlestation at home uses though, nothing fancy. This one kind of blows for typing... x(

i've had a score like this for around 5 years, never really improving but never getting worse. it usually fluctuates between 130-150. typeracer is a good way to keep up the practice for me and instant death mode is my favourite since it fixes a lot of issues with mistyping smth

I haven't gotten into instant death mode very much, I've meant to for like the past year because yeah it's solid practice, but god damn when you hit comma instead of period or something it is truly infuriating lmao. I have almost 1400 races on my main account but only like 3 in instant death lol.

Solid average though, I get what you mean, I think I've hit a wall too. From this point forward I don't see any crazy improvements coming my way...

That reminds me of a typing class that I TA'd back in High School (despite never learning to "properly" touch-type).

The whole time I was thinking to myself "Ugh... they should just move this class to the Computer Lab and make everyone play an old-school text-based real-time MMORPG (i.e., MUD). Everyone would improve so much faster once their poor typing started getting their characters killed!"
