Turtle Fishing Day

After finding out that Mightybit got a turtle, it got me thinking. Maybe we could get a lot of 20s to pile into Twilight Highlands for Turtle Fishing Day The idea is more people fishing means faster pool spawns and more turtles.

I imagine it would be bad to schedule this 'event' on a weekend because people don't wanna fish on Sunday as it is. Maybe someone could suggest a good date for this? Do people even wanna do this? Purse recording it? Let me know

Since this isn't a timed event and it's sole purpose is fun (as opposed to bis gear), I would encourage pool sharing. If you already have a turtle and don't want another one, you can just come hangout

You could always schedule this during DMF, just a suggestion though. Personally, i fished up my turtle from DMF about two months back trying to get the pet. I was totally surprised that RNG called my name.

And i also think there would be more pools available around DMF as a zone than highlands allowing for possibly more success getting the turtle.

Darkmoon Faire really limits when this can happen and people would have to 'compete' to get pools, at least on Aerie Peak I've seen a lot of high levels fishing for goods to sell on the AH. With Twilight Highlands it would be like camping People could just casually hangout and fish and I really like the idea of it being that way. However, if people like the idea of doing it at the Darkmoon Faire, I'm open to it

I don't really follow the latest news about MoP and such, so I only know what I remember hearing months ago and that was, that boa mounts might happen in the future.

While I did get a turtle in TH, I wouldn't really call this a group activity. The pools don't spawn that fast, and DMF would be a much better prospect if I ever decide to do it again. That said, if it's just for fun, then by all means do. As for high levels and pools, they spawn very fast on DMF island, and in my experience, there are busy and quiet times for DMF fishing.

I suspect the reason the Darkmoon Faire nodes respawn so quickly is cause they're being fished almost constantly, at least on any sever that is remotely active. It didn't take long for high level players to realize the gold mine in farming the wreckage at the faire.

Twilight Highlands in comparison to Darkmoon Faire is less active on a regular basis, less fishing, so pool spawns seem slower. Unless of course, I don't understand pool spawning correctly, which is very possible x) Also, Darkmoon Faire pools tend to only have one catch at the most two catches before it is emptied making pool sharing impossible. I want this to be a friendly event
