The new blade ward spell is imo just like how executioner required level 60 unlike all the other bc enchants, its just blizzard sneaking in that one oddball enchant requirement again.
I guess, but if they have the power to (and they obviously used it on +100 HP to chest) they won't hesitate to go forward with changing how enchants work. Now, I don't play anymore so I really can not say much, but I played long enough to know (and read enough on the forums) what is going on. I am not mad about the change, (if this is to happen) just disappointed. This may be an attempt to force players to level up to acquire not only gear, but chants. This will either destroy the twink community (not in a 'Twinking is dead', but lots of players will leave the format of play) or create an uproar in the community which will then oppose Blizz in an attempt to be heard. (
LONG LIVE WoW!)
I for one, hope for the latter to happen. Over the years of playing WoW I have heard many suggestions and complaints. While players would spend all day on the forums asking for new content, nerfs to CLASS, buffs to CLASS, an XP toggle feature, ETC, ETC ... I never really saw anyone take action. Sure, Blizz may come along now and then and snatch up an idea from the forums (Suggestions like: AHs in every major city, are a good example of this) and WoW had a 'Golden Age' (so to speak) pre-WotLK with Blues like GhostCrawler. Now, I am not asking for you to walk into Blizz HQ and shoot up the place, (trust me, you wouldn't make it through the front door if you attempted this feat) but the community needs to really stand up together and become one voice. Drayner is a prime example of someone who could lead the revolution; his Open Letter to Blizz topic stirred some attention on the forums, but several comments made only discouraged the main point of the topic and pushed the topic aside into the background.
The entire community (Twink, RP, PVE, or w/e you may be) needs to stand up as one. I read through the WoW forums and I am sickened by the fact that so many trolls linger about and yet they are being hypocritical. There are strength in numbers, but standing idle and not aiding the cause even though you agree with it does not help the changes go through. You pay 15$ a month (Not to mention the CDs for the original WoW and the two expansions) for a game that you like. I don't care what you do in the game,
YOU are a member of the society and
YOUR opinion should count.
Albeit, there are a lot of ridiculous request on the forums, but that should not hinder your will. The key thing is business is not what
YOU want, but what your
CUSTOMER wants. If your not happy with the latest patch, why should you even pay to play? That's like going out and spending your money on a bad video game and while you play it you nit-pick and complain the whole time. But WoW is always changing; that's probably why I stuck around so long, I was eager to see and play the next patch or expansion that was on the horizon.
YOU have the ability to change the game; while it is very courageous to go in alone, it doesn't hurt to have people on your side. This community has the numbers; you each have voices. Stand up to the tyranny and injustice that is bound to occur in the future. Revolution is not an apple that falls when it is ripe. You have to make it fall.
I don't care if you mock me or if you don't heed my call, I just hope that someone else picks up my gun and keeps on shooting. Metaphorically speaking.
