I think Celmer won the game.

A rogue without shadow-step versus a hunter right now is just dumb,i will most likely stop Bg'n if my class gets nerfed and an OP class gets buffed, hell if i wanted to get Roflstomped all day id roll shaman
Like shadowstep helps vs hunter anyways
It kinda does, if you want to have a chance of soloing a hunter as a rouge you don't use shadowstep to open, you use normal ambush.
mid way though the fight, when the hunter is getting away, use shadowstep and the chance of success is much higher.

No matter how much ground he gets on you, wait for him to use disengage before you pop it though... And play combat instead.. Blade flurry takes the pet out of the game while getting the huntard down to about 40-60% before he uses disengage, at which point trinket WC and sprint + possibly evasion and he doesn't stand a chance, also recoup tics for 65 and throws for 215 are nice....
You need to be level 60 to choose it.
Yeah combat is waaaay better than 30% agility boost and 40% backstab dmg, but my point was the 5.0 talents for rogue look pretty much better than what we have now. It is very significant what the specializations will be. Looking forward for 5.0's changes.
How often do rogues 1v1 in wsg nowadays?
I personally played in BC when stealth wasnt good for sword using rogues. So i personally know how to play without stealth however, if you dont know how to play without SS your bad. SS is like what 20% damage increase? and a quick move to get on people. we rogues dealt without it before so i dont think that people will be that crazy about losing it again.
My point exactly, combat has many more buffs that pay off in wsg... you don't need the dodge, and you can lose a little crit and still be fine... but it's not like rogues with that +40% backstab damage can out damage me while I'm playing objectives.... Combat > Sub... just the fact that every single talent in the sub tree atm is going towards the opener is just lame.
Hell do what I do and have 3 19 rogues, 2 combat and 1 sub.
Seems to me rogues are only useful for about 2 things - sapping heals, and burst on fc when debuff is high - if more rogues used kick they could interrupt to but 90% of them dont haha
