I've done more towards getting this problem solved than you with your delete button. Admit it. And maybe the nerf will come in time to avoid ANYONE showing up with one of those poles.

You don't see top level 80 arena players purposefully wearing gear seasons behind because it takes more skill. Not maximising your character in any way possible is just putting yourself at a disadvantge.
Exactly, a rough comparision I made in the other thread about this was the old Naxx enchant which gave +16 Stamina, it's not that big a deal. Although I must admit the Fishing Pole is over the top like Enti's was.

lucky fishing hat = 15 stam, thats it.
weather beaten hat = 40 stam, 40 spirit, thats more then just 16 stam more, its also 40 spirit more, do you even realise what 40 spirit more gives you at level 19 ?
let's you take a priest like i am, give me weather beaten hat instead of lucky and i'll hold a hell of a lot longer then the one with just the lucky fishing hat on. its not just the pol, the hat is way too good to be used at this low level. i'm just glad level 1 twinks can't use it. it would be quite unreal. but then again a level 10 with hat on can almost destroy level 19 twinks with lucky fishing hat. what does this proove to you, that the hat itself gives a hell of a lot of advantage just by himself.

"ridiculous and unfair" as it may be, twinking is about getting the best stuff available. You can't say "thats unfair" because the entire point of twinking is about having as much of an advantage over your opponent as possible.
Twinking is NOT about fighting other people on even terms, or calling things that are BiS exploits because they're hard to get.
Its about having a group of jerkoff friends that cant make it to 80 go roll some scrubs because its funny when people roll level ones on your server to yell at you and tell you you're bad after they lose.
It's about slandering people anonymously on the internet.
Its about being a racist on vent.
Its about calling yourself #1 regardless of whether you are or not.
And most importantly, its about having the best gear you can have and trying to get ahead of the rest of the community.
Alot of people seem to be forgetting that last part.

its true that having best gear help you kill, but in XP-OFF if you dont have the best gear, you get panwed by everyone. that said the problem is that not everyone can get it. you have to actually be very lucky to get it. might i remember you that some of us are still trying to get lucky fishing hat after a full 2-3 months of fishing ?
from googles to fishing hat, there is like 7 stam difference, not enough to make some fuss about it. but from googles to weather beaten hat... there is like 32 stam difference which is huge !
let me put you straight, you see a hunter with 2000 life point and 1400 mana coming your way, its clear, he has double AGM, he got weather beaten hat and got the intellect build. you're not scared of him with your own 1400 life and 1800 mana at all ?
i know i'll be scared, even more if he is buffed entirely as well sporting a good 3k life.
and thats not even a flag carrier here !

Not even close. Don't believe it for a minute.
The lucky fishing hat ought to be obtained on average on the 8th tournament or so. But for every twink that gets it on the first cast, there's one that fishes for years and never gets it. That's just the way probability and statistics works.
This new hat will probably take, on average, 6 months to a year for the average twink to obtain. Big difference. Huge difference. And that's really the big deal. If it were easy to get, like a quest reward or a short rep grind, I bet most people who have a problem with it now would say its fine, and that it gives clothie casters some much needed survivability.
Not so with the poles. The poles give DPS classes the ability to 1 or 2 shot other twinks (even the ones with the new hat ought not to take more than 3 shots). So, even if everyone could get it easily, it would still be a huge problem because of the severe imbalance.
That's just the way I see it. The hat's not that bad. Even a caster with it is still only just starting to be viable in the hunter-filled gulch. I hope they nerf it, sure. But let's not lose sight of the much bigger problem, which is those poles.
just so you know, level 10 have about the same, if not more stats then level 19 twinks.

might i remember you guys that level 14 and under have 300% regenration compared to level 19 twink basic 100% ?
seriously, level 10 twinks have gotten so good and so powerfull with 3.2 that they do compare to level 19 twinks.
of course in my post i said, barely rival, as in against a full twink, they get chances... but they are at a disadvantage due to them not having much talents nor having full abilities. heck they don't even have glyph yet. but that said, they do own, they do rival 19 twinks.
