By got him do you mean got up there or got him banned? hopefully the latter :)
We had to drop our flag let him cap and get back to our base before he got his hands on ours, he even swiftness pot to try and stall for another hour lmao

Geeze... I honestly don't get the mindset behind playing this way. It's a small bracket with a relatively small and close-nit group. Hell, we have our own unofficial forums site. Using exploited safespots and using swiftness pots to get to them faster just to draw out a game and make your opponent quit from frustration is really boring gameplay for everyone and toxic to the community. It's only a matter of time before enough people report you and then hundreds of gold and hours are lost.. because you chose to play like an asshole.

Hey May!

Yeah, that’s really lame. I just witnessed someone else trying this jump today. I think these posts get attention and players go and attempt them.

One guy showing off his “skills” to stall a game is one thing, but if this was a real competitive match it’s game breaking.

Are you trying to justify this type of gameplay?

no

the fact it stalled OP's game by an hour is hilarious though, imagine not being able to get up there to force him down for an hour.

just bad players i guess

I know Mayfade is not a bad player.

Honestly, a real competitive match is relative and I find it fun when I encounter them. Some jumps are not hard to follow and I expect them. However, players who bank on the fact that maybe your opponents don’t know the jump is comparatively a foul in most sports.

if this was a real competitive match everyone in the game would know the jump
What about race that can't do it? its a pretty simple jump but some race get it on their first try other can try for hour and just can't seem to be able to do it.

Ye must be bad players that don't know how to press a space bar, such skill needed lmao

Why is it that everytime something like this pops up, people go straight to insulting the people that aren't cheating? This is such a childish and obstinate stance. "Oh, you can't or didn't cheat as well? Must be bad players lul." Seriously, some of the people in this bracket might be adults in 2019, but they still have the same stupid childish mindset they had in 2006.

oh no i upset the dads

i dont know mayfade but i know hes a bad player

honestly, a real competitive match is a premade which usually means rules are set in place and its up to them if certain jumps are banned. everything else is irrelevant

if a race cant do it you have an argument there, some races getting it on their first try is irrelevant, if your race is capable of clipping then the amount of tries isnt a factor theres no set amount of tries needed. its either possible or impossible.

if pressing spacebar is low tier of skill whys this thread being made? just jump up and force him down

depends if you consider it cheating or not, i dont consider it cheating so what now?

he's not doing anything you dont have access to, he's pressing w and spacebar at the same time, you're capable of doing that too, no?

it's the same mechanics required as tot/gy jumps, do you consider those cheats?

you can bring up the race argument like mayfade, but gnomes cant do horde fence jump, is it then considered cheating to do that when a gnome is in range of you?
some jumps require minor speed on boots is it cheating to do those incase somebody has the wrong boot enchant?

is this cheating too? - https://clips.twitch.tv/TawdryCrazyBottleEleGiggle

it's not cheating, its unsportsmanlike and bad manners sure but if everyone is capable of doing it with no 3rd party program it's just not a cheat and sure as hell shouldnt be a reportable offence.

just practice it to counterplay it when it happens.

in other words, stop being bad and wipe your tears away.

I have since stopped using this Jump. Unfortunately, Zhanger is a great guy, but should not have ever been taught this. Would you all like me to post a vid on how it is done...just so it evens the playing field slightly? I realize it is an unfair advantage and we can show all to make it common knowledge.

As you say, it is unsportsmanlike and bad manners. Therefore, I see it as reportable. Similar to how raging in a game is reportable.

I think the solution here is twofold: 1) practice the jumps to not get called "bad" by lild and to counterplay & 2) report people that abuse it to stall games so the jumps get patched. A lot of these kinds of jumps used to exist in vanilla but did not in later expansions because they got patched from people abusing them.

Do it!

So you ONLY consider a real competitive match a 10v10 premade, that USUALLY communicates prior and predetermine rules and a set of jumps? How often do you partake in these real competitive matches?

I don't know about you, but I'm usually queuing up with a 5-man, pop in a game with maybe 2-3 other 19s, and maybe 1-2 lower levels. If we are lucky, we encounter a similar makeup or a full 10 man. I find it fun when it's a challenge and you start to notice players who are skilled and have good awareness, I respect those players. When those games last over an hour of back and forth and you lose, that's okay... well played. How is that a bad thing and wouldn't you want to encourage that?

Come on dude, you're on the wrong side here. Players should not want to do these kinds of jumps. Do you realize how stupid it would be if this was a legitimate strategy from both teams? ...like really think about it and apply it to your definition of a real competitive matches.

is it repeatable by every class and race in the game?
