The evolution of Twinking 2004-2014: An Argument for the 19s bracket.

I have to say, 29s getting mocked by 19s is an intriguing new development in the f2p wars.

F2Ps got the AIDS from the 19 bracket, what are you talking about?

The only "aids" the 10-19 bracket has "logically speaking" are anyone sub19 and any class that is FOTM/OP that seems to have 3+ of that class in a BG.

edit: My 10 gDruid is aids, but at least I plan on going to 19 after I get AGM, or 16 for laughs. Not sure yet, I just needed a toon to BG with. But at the same time, everything is viable, there has been reports of level 10 rogues, warriors, feral druid, healers putting up a fight and standing a chance/standing out amongst the BGs.

I know your whole opinion on the whole lolscalingup>19 thing, but hey. Everyone is entitled to play, twink, and do whatever they want with the gold they have and the 14.99 a month they pay to play.

When I use the word 'aids' to describe F2Ps or 19s, I'm speaking about the general attitudes and behaviors of players in those brackets. Once upon a time people were kind, helpful, and interested in getting new players into twinking, because those new players were the lifeblood of any bracket. Sure, you had your spats, animosity, and trash talking, but those things weren't the foundation of any bracket. Not by a long shot. We saw a lot of activity dwindle in the summer before Wotlk dropped, and 3.2 only pushed twinks further away from activity as players scrambled to find their footing within the new dynamic of XP on/XP off play. This new dynamic soured a lot of twinks, causing many to quit. The ones who stuck around began to take on a completely different attitude when it came to twinking.

Before, 'twinking 4 lyfe' was the motto. Now it's 'in it for me, fuck the rest.' People generally don't give two shits about anyone else in these brackets. They care about one thing: getting games. Never mind the quality of those games being the kind of stuff you find on the bottom of your shoe after trudging through a sewer. The only time anyone even discusses the quality of games in these brackets is when their personal quality of life is ruined by something they don't like. If it's something that doesn't affect them, they respond to discussion with phrases like 'QQ moar' or 'your tears feed me,' completely ignoring problems so long as they get to own it up in a BG.

So when I reference F2Ps getting aids from the 19s, this is exactly what I'm talking about. F2Ps are aids right now, they have shit attitudes and behave like selfish children. When was the last time you actually saw a F2P who cared so much about the quality of life in the bracket that he organized wargames to avoid the shit show that are random queues? What about 19s? When has that ever happened?

I honestly don't care how people choose to play their toons, when they are paying $15 a month to play them. The people who bug me are the F2Ps who think their version of twinking is superior just because they don't have to pay any money to get access to it. The same people who complain that 29s are in their BGs now (when it's the other way around), and engage in the same behavior that ruins BGs for everyone (GY camping, group queuing, class stacking, ect). It's bad enough that level 100s exhibit extremely poor teamwork/coordination skills in random BGs, twinks are supposed to be the exception to that rule, and for the most part, they are not.

Especially in the F2P bracket.

When F2P was first introduced in 2012, other than that I can agree with your statement

And I can drink to this.
