Terrain jumping/exploiting/coordinating etc

I've never heard of anyone who have been banned from doing fence/ToT/stump jumps. It isn't against the ToS.
Some players get mad cause they cannot do it themselves -> report it to GM -> the individual GM asks the jumper not to do it, to avoid upsetting other people -> no one gets banned. Blizzard can't ban you for something this simple.

No offence but this is just wron. That's not a possibility given, that's a glitch in the terrain --> not how the game was meant to be played. So, for me, it's a lame excuse for those doing it to gain unfair advantages. You're good? Your premade is good? Prove it by winning fair, not by exploiting design flaws Simple as that. You don't prove smarter by exploiting you prove that you are a cheater.
It is flaws in the game that allows people to easily conquer obstacles. You press space and turn your character, that is in no way exploiting. It is using the terrain to it's fullest. Everyone can do it, and you might aswel say that people only cry about terrain jumps cause they cba to learn them themselves.

Ergo, exploits. Terrain is fine, but gear isn´t. Oh please.
Don't take gear into this?

Jumping on a stump is exploiting?
Jumping on a hill is exploiting?
Jumping on the roof of a building is exploiting?
It would have been so easy for Blizz to make one of those invisible walls, to prevent people from doing all this shit, instead they make it really really easy to gain access to these specific areas.

By some of your definitions, gaining high ground and disengaging down the hill is exploiting.

edit: nvm why does it even matter blizzard will ban you for whatever the hell they want. i've got a friend who was banned for juking someone off of roof and shadowstepping to him before he fell.....

"It is flaws in your locks that allowed me to easily steal your valuables."

Nothing is taken from anyone here

I could argue that it's other people's enjoyment, but being a fan of BG jumps myself (not that I'm any good at the more advanced ones but hey, I can jump on a stump!).

All this discussion about jumps could make a turn point if I say that I find class and stat discrepancy FAR worse than any jump or exploit.
Reason?

If I see someone exploiting (per my personal definiton), I will call that person out to /bg and report him.
If I see someone jumping (per my personal definition), I will (usually) think: "Dang, wish I would take more time to practice that one jump I always fail at, nvm, let's go the long way." and usually mount up or if I feel adventurous and the enemy team doesn't have 9/10 rogues/hunters, I will try that jump till I get it right, at least 1 time or till I get frustrated. #Goesid

But when I see a 1k (which implies lack of gear to me) hunter, with his pet on auto (which I can tell by the millisecond it took for the pet to use Bullheaded to break my Frost Nova - implying I play a Frost mage), that's keyturning and probably clicking/facerolling his spells beating my best in slot mage with 2 years of F2P and 8 years of WoW experience without losing 1 HP because his pet makes me unable to even get 1 Frostbolt off, then I will yell(literally): "THIS FUCKING PIECE OF BULLSHIT GAME IS FUCKING PISSING ME OFF!" and /afk at worst.
And that was just one of the many situations that make me touch my F2P characters once every 2 weeks or so.
Denurd can prove what I said, because he had to listen to me yell earlier today.

Just giving my 2 cents about what you should ACTUALLY worry about; it's not exploits (just report them) or jumps (yea, you might lose that one game because of that one efc that knew how to do that one crazy ToT jump which you had to ride up onto and maybe you even fell down in the process of fighting, but how many times does that happen in comparison to a <insert 2-braincell-class here> facerolling you?) - it's the lack of brain cells in Blizzard's developer team.
And before someone like Juno0 comes in and says 'oh you fucking f2p want a nice game for free QQ' or the like (*wink*), you should know that I leveled tons (too many) P2Ps in the last few months to know that not just the F2P bracket is fubar, but everything <85 is.

Nice topic changer, I know, but hey, I got steam off my system.

Got a rant, had a bad day? TELL IT HERE.

The ones who complain are the ones who usually can't do it.

The only people who complain are the ones who cant do it

Sure some of the jumps people used to do in vanilla were more like exploits than jumps, but nowadays anyone can learn this stuff. Blizz has blocked off loads of areas of wsg, however both alli and horde tun roof have remained the same since wsg was introduced some 8 years ago

At the end of the day, what only matters is what Blizzard considers to be an exploit. Just cause you can do something without hacking does not mean it is intended.

Has anyone ever gotten a suspension or ban without a warning 1st? That would suck. What bothers me most is that things don't get fixed and there is no readily available way to know what is ok and what is not.

That would require Blizzard to make a whole new map. Stormwind Auction jump was only fixed when Deathwing changed the world.....by sacking SW. Because its still there, doesn´t mean its alright.

They could just put an invisible wall up, like they've done for other areas of wsg

Where do you draw the line for either tun roof? Jumping down from the top level to the middle can hardly be called an exploit

If you watch some 19 fc videos - like painaids - you can see just how much stuff they have removed/fixed from wsg
