Take it up with Blizzard, not me.

I'm just playing the game as intended /shrug

Same person that never complains about Korrak BG being unfair for levelers and non end-gamers, only to complain about getting carried through a dungeon that said complainer takes advantage of.

i can see where blizzard may take action when linked players are shown with all the gems, ench, and high level stuff used. sorta like 29s did to get 20s into their bracket.

i have gotten some comments usually on scaling, very rare hostile or nerd raging. they inspect my gear, see some +1 to +2 ench, LS/CS/EF on wpn, MoHS or +1 ench on neck. i do not use +4 on rings just +1. when high level players were upset it has been due to them seeing damage and them not being able to flex a DPS addon at end. also when they clown pull more, and everyone dies but me, some are puzzled

i would definitely recommend that none of you roll those DPS. etc addons, they add salt to the wound or stoke the fire

Is it really? Why is it a scumbag move to Twink?
Theres a whole video i linked that you could watch that, while focused on pvp, is applicable to this situation.

But 14 minutes of me rambling is probably a bit much so here's the short of it: All MMOs (and most online games) are a cooperative experience. If you can but wont play cooperatively with your peers to create an enjoyable experience for everyone, thats a pretty scummy move. And as a twink, you are actively attempting (and succeeding) in not playing cooperatively with your peers.

You're breaking the game, on purpose, and subjecting other people to a broken game. Don't say "but blizzard allows it!" to dismiss your own agency. "Access is not permission" as the saying goes.

And sure, some people enjoy the carry. But some people really dont. Logging on for your scarce couple hours of free time after work, only to be subjected to some goofball hero-pulling a whole dungeon so you basically just get to play a walking simulator isnt all that fun after the novelty wears off.

As twinks, we need to recognize this fact. You can argue that people *should* enjoy the free carry and theyre wrong not to, but that doesnt change the fact that many people dont. So you need to accept that in these situations you are knowingly engaging in a play style that ruins the experience for others.

Take some responsibility for that and act accordingly.

My pally almost got the boot the other day as heals when the tank kept dying (700k hp, like lvl 74, and my heals were going for like 12m) and apparently he voted to kick me but one of the dps had a tracker on and was like “dude you are dying from your pulls the heals is scaling to the top” XD

I didn't realize it was a video link mb. i'll watch it now

it's kinda silly cause I get a lot of compliments and people saying stuff like "I wanna run with this guy" cause they enjoy the experience i've created in that moment. Some people just hate fun, i think.

there's also a saying that goes something like: a system acts as intended, whether you intend it to or not. basically, no matter how many times you say "I intend for the system to work this way", however the system acts is the true intention. like irl, you can say PPE loans where to help small businesses during COVID, but actually the system allowed already rich people to get richer. very similar type of situation here.

you'd think if someone needs to do their 5 dungeon quest and only has like an hour or 2 that they'd appreciate the fast carry. also /shrug

that makes sense and will do. it's just silly getting it in chat was all.

Actually, we'll take it up with you.
If you're running instances with other people as if they are NOT even there, that's degen af; & you bring negative attention to all of us.

If you want to play like that, take advantage of the instance soft reset & log out in the dungeon to solo it.
it's impossible to twink in TW dungeons and not solo carry. i was even going slow, so this guy was just complaining that he didn't need to push buttons. i get plenty of positive attention and have even sent fans to this site to get them started. /shrug

Are you in denial of the obvious fact that you pissed these people off, or what?
Don't use people, & don't be a dick back to them when they take it up with you.
Some players will be cool with the carry, but most want to feel like they're all working together to whup mobs & stack loot.
If you're just going all Cuisinart on a whole dungeon, then some players aren't even getting their abilities off
before you drop the whole mob pack & are off to the next. It feels like shit.

Maybe try playing a 20; who, while op af, isn't a Raid-Boss.
I don't know what else to say.

Aside from all this, reports are coming in that come 11.1 the TW gear is all getting nerf-suplexed off the top rope down to ilvl 63.
So, short of running TW's for badges & grabbing xMog, the loot will be useless very soon.

I mean, you're not wrong. The flip side of all this is, as you pointed out, blizzard has designed a system that outputs twinks and the saying you were reaching for is "the purpose of a system is what it does" and if the system outputs broken twinks, then that is a part of the systems purpose. Blizzard needs to do better.

And so its goofy for other people to whine about it. They play a game that allows twinks, running into a twink is gonna happen etc etc.

My position on all of this is basically "with great power comes great responsibility". By our very nature, we're capable of optimizing the fun out of the game for other people. Just, ya know, be aware of that.

so, what do you suggest I do to not piss people off but still go fast? spin kick once, when it takes 2-3 to kill a pack of mobs? I would play a 20 if I knew what was good, like how 11 fury is the best.

While true, Blizzard is not shy about swinging the nerf bat when the system annoys a large enough base of paying customers. Saying that you're just doing what the system allows you to do is tantamount to asking Blizzard to change the system. Given how overly broad their fixes tend to be, that might not be the best long-term strategy.

If you're playing 11 fury and 10 MW, it might be easiest to just walk in the front door of the place. That's been my go-to behavior when I wanted to quickly clear a place and not bother with queues.

Not trying to call you out or anything. More pointing out that fewer players getting their panties in a twist means fewer complaints, and less chance of Blizz overreacting while trying to address those.

correct, which is why in the original post I say "take it up with blizz" lol
