Hey everyone, i just want to those of you who participated in my Southern Barrens raid last night. Due to the short noticed and my underestimating the number of people that wanted to come i was unable to locate Elite and rare spawn points for a more satisfying experience. I am currently planning on running this event again next Friday night the time is TBA and I hope that many more of you will join us.

Edit: if any1 would like to suggest a location for future excursions of a specific Mob to kill please post below.
Edit: i forgot to mention this is, obviously b/c of location, a Horde only event.

this looks like a good idea, i am making a map with locations of various rares and elites in southern barrens including a 37 elite. i hope to start my next excursion at about 12:00 midnight on Friday the 2nd (into sat the 3rd). the highest lvl mobs we killed last time i just verified as being lvl 40(normal) and these were downed with no risk whatsoever of death, so i think that with proper planning a lvl 50 elite(who, by the way, can be kited infinitely....) is completely doable. i hope that as many of you as possible will come on this trip and that everyone who came last time with continue. if a lot of people come i could start organizing higher lvl area raids for many Friday nights.

please leave a comment if u are even remotely interested in something like this, as always suggestions are welcome.

Have fun getting destroyed before your healer can cast.

Yes it's a fun challenge but there is a certain point where it's not a "raid" because the mob will ass rape you before you can blink.
 
Most mobs don't hit for over 2k. Not even @ 60 MC or something. So it should be outhealable. Only problem might be mana issues because the fight will last too long.

such confidence.... granted this should be done during valentines for tank to have bloated hp but thats not possible. after next weekend ill decide if alvl 50 elite is possible but i think it is with the right group.

also i have no intention of following Felix on his mad idea of having around eighty lvl 20 hunters kite a fel reaver all around a high lvl area... but i would like to be able to take groups into all the areas on kalamindor lvls 65 and below (non elite) this is unlikely but worth a try

as far as being destroyed by a lvl 37 elite... not happening.... 5 of us killed lvl 40 normals 2 at a time with no remote risk of dying so im sure with a little trouble we can heal thru the dmg just fine

What 37 elite? All I've seen mentioned here is a 50 elite and a Fel Reaver....

yes that would be annoying, but just get as much hit as u can and try more... as long as heals don't fail we got all the time in the world and with enough healers rotating mana wouldn't be an issue. can anyone confirm whether or not its harder to hit an elite then a normal mob of the same lvl?\

if three DPS can hit a lvl 40 with 3k hp enough o kill in in about 45-60 seconds im sure we could manage a lvl 50 elite assuming no1 got 1shotted.
i do plan on testing the target mob's dmg myself by dying a few times. also, this mob can be kited infinitely(he was soloed by a lvl 26 ret pally with judgement and waaaaaaaay to much time) but i do not think watching 10 hunters run in circles for 10 min is much of an accomplishment. melee would be far more impressive. on a side note i would NOT recommend trying to bring a caster for fighting significantly higher lvl mobs as mana is not something u want to deal with when u will be missing 90+% of the time.

lvl 37 elite is scheduled for this coming friday night, the 50 elite is the end target that i want to work towards , and the Fel Reaver is Felix's demented thought that i support in no way whatsoever. i do understand that their are limits to what we can handle but i want to find, and push, those limits.

there are most likly gaurds nearby and im only expecting about 4 people to show up if more do then next week its straight to a 50 elite then 55>60>65 til we cant
also half the fun is just exploring a territory that is inconvenient, and for many classes totally lethal, in a fun group environment. (you know the "community" in 'aerie peak f2p community")

also, if u do show up i would love to see u solo him ( no sarcasm intended)
