Stop Reporting Undergeareds AFK

Haha im not sure if you are trying to like, upset me or whatever, you obviously took what i said the wrong way, i didnt tell them that they couldnt participate properly, i told them that they werent going to have much fun in the gear that they had. But yeah man put players in your BG on ignore it does wonders for the rest of the team when people can't hear eachother

If someone is spending more time complaining about someone's gear than the BG objectives, then I don't need their useless blather interrupting more important discussions relevant to wining the BG.

Normally I keep my mouth shut on threads like this, but this one is ridiculous. No matter how much you ***** and moan about it, people will continue reporting others that are under-geared AFK. There's nothing you can do about it, just like there's nothing you can do about the amount of hunters in this bracket. If it really upsets you that much, well, no one is making you stay.

Yeah dude because I CLEARLY stated that I spent more than the first 45 seconds BEFORE the bg started talking about gear. I love how people try and turn this around its pretty funny

Well, I just started playing again after 2-1/2 years so my understanding might be outdated (and please feel free to correct me) but the way AFK reporting worked was that if enough people reported the same person, a GM would communicate with the reported person and if an acceptable response was given, the reported person would not be kicked. I don't know if it still works the same way, but if it does then simply reporting a person AFK for gear won't work since, if the reported person answers the GM, he'll be allowed to stay.



And it seems that not only are the people in-game touchy about being told their gear sucks, looks like it came over to TI as well. What Shaurooke detailed is something I do as well. If I see someone under 700 HP, I simply tell them that they are probably not going to have too much fun in PVP...unless they enjoy getting insta-gibbed. I don't mean for it to be mean or to say "get out now and gear up before you come back;" I'm just stating things matter-of-factly. But I guess so many people are hostile toward undergeared players that any criticism about their lack of gear is met with equal hostility. But I will definitely take an undergeared player that actually tries to win over a full BiS player that sits under the enemy GY all game long doing nothing but honor farming.

It doesn't. It used to be that you got 2 debuffs for getting reported by enough people, but lately enough reports has been an insta-kick.
