Gratz to everyone who has tamed it so far. I'm starting to remember what it was like camping these spirit beasts on my main years ago. The pain, the hardship, the rage..........
Closest I have got to this spirit beast was when I saw a 110 horde huntard tame it literally secs before I got to the bush. Damn you 110's with flying mounts..........

Spirit Mend requires level 20, since it's an Exotic ability.

chimeras ability that requires level 20 works at 19, so would actually need a 19 to obtain the spirit beast to be sure

Atm it is not tameable but it does scale with level.
No idea if it scales down to 19 or 20.

Hmm, true. It seems that the [Special Ability] Isn't available at 20, but the [Exotic Ability] is. And since wowhead statest that Spirit Mend requires 20, just like Froststrom Breath, in theory it would work on a 19. I could farm him again on my 19 hunter, but I'm too exhausted for camping on my 20, so if no one else gets it on a 19 before the next week ends, I might aswell give it a shot.

It seems it's an objective of one of the new blacksmithing quests: http://www.wowhead.com/quest=44863/clearing-the-air
The wind serpent family is completely useless (no ability) since WoD, but if you want that look you could tame a scion of quetz'lun at level 76

Yea i know it from new quest. was regarding scaling and potential lower level tames if it could be tameable and didnt have any cap on level.

I feel exactly the same way. Can't believe how many 110's are after it.........Want to add it to the collection, but its still heavily camp
But then again, I was the same on my end game BM Hunter back in the day......
But FFS, this is now the 2nd time I'm missed it by only minutes to some damn 110 Huntard
