The place I got it from says you can, but the one server I tried it said my name was invalid, I'll do that thing IAT said below.

The one I linked updates itself to the newest version for you.



Edit: I ran the minecraft_name.jar and the game asked me for my password after I put my name in and hit enter, so that doesn't work, but the link I posted also asks you for a name (but not a password) upon start up. I just tried to connect to another server, connection timed out after trying twice, I'll go find another server and try it.

Double edit: tried two different servers, bad logins.
 
I decided instead of trying this game. I'd go out and exercise some more
 
originally when i first tried minecraft, i thought it was bullshit but then i suddenly got addicted to it after i found the whole inventory/craft thing.



it's like crack, never start, you'll never stop.

Won't be up for ~5 hours (lol).

Server will usually be down from 8AM to 5PM



Connection is Wired, only 7Mbps, but I've had 5 people on without any lag at all, though the computer crashed three times, but it should automatically restart along with the minecraft server within 2 minutes.

I'm sure, so wasn't sure what specific hours you were talking about - Could be you were typing the message shortly prior to leaving work :). But alright, not sure if I'm up in 5 hours but if so I'll be sure to stop by! :)

You should come help, we're working on a gigantic Obsidian shaft, we're almost done directing the water right over the lava flow, and then we need to find diamond. :D

Haha. I mean, lego aren't good looking, and simply in plastic, but who didn't have fun with those? Same thing with Minecraft.

I plan on replacing those dumb tiles in my kitchen with silver flooring, I know it looks bad as it is now.

is not my server if you are talking to me. and i don't think IAT is on, and hes probably just coming home now.
