Sky Golem for F2P

Besides being a huge time sink, is it possible to make a https://www.wowhead.com/item=95416/sky-golem being a solo F2P?
From what I understand, you must have max Pandaland Eng for https://www.wowhead.com/item=100910/schematic-chief-engineer-jards-journal to drop; which you'll need to make the daily https://www.wowhead.com/item=94113/jards-peculiar-energy-source#comments .
Then, you have to have learned the https://www.wowhead.com/spell=114780/transmute-living-steel from alch, which you will also need to do daily.
So.... assuming you have filled your bank with enough Ghost Iron before you picked up both eng & alch. Yes! I think you could make one.

Actually the first route would be faster, using eng/alchemy.... To get 300 toys as F2p, you need at least 1 year, to obtain all the seasonal toys from all the event... While you would need just about 1-2 months to farm all the mats for the sky golem on 1 char.

Is Sky Golem still out of reach for unsubbed accounts (with warband banks and all)? Its still level 30, so it can't be learned by lvl 20. Can an lvl 20 engineer at least make one (or gather all of the materials) and when the next free weekend comes around, have a lvl 70 eng craft and learn it? (old thread bump, sorry if its against the rules, but I did a search and did not find anything recent).

I don't see why not, it's not BoP so you can make it on your lvl 20 engi and learn it once you get gametime.
Now it's easier with warbanks to have a special alchemist and engineer character for the living steel.

Item level 30, not requires level 30. You can absolutely hold onto and use Jard's Peculiar Energy Source for crafting.

For that matter, the game is happy to let you use items as crafting reagents even if you can't equip/use them normally. I'm upping legion cooking on a toon now, and some of the higher skill recipes require lower skill foods that 20s are too low level to eat. I can still make the higher tier foods for skill ticks without a problem.

The 300 toys with DF enabled and enough <= level 20 toons with the right professions can get there - yes it takes time if on F2P but that that's the point you are trying to make as much as the FREE to PLAY part as possible.

Basically, as a pre-Shadowlands engineer as one of your toon professions - Gnome Engineering has a few more craft able toys but one really needs to add Goblin Engineering to get more toys from that specialization to be get as many toys as possible.

Some of the SL toys are behind Convent reputation.

Some of the BFA ones are via reputation.

Some of the Pandara toys are via high level mob drops

Some Legion toys are behind reputation and higher-level chests or mobs. Yet Druids with gold can get a Nature's Beacon toy from their Order Hall as one easy example.

Yet for example Dragonflight + Tailoring + Renown = a few more toys; Renown at least for Dragonscale Expedition it quite do-able to hit the right patterns for bean bag toys.

Even classic factions have some toy rewards so if starting fresh, you have to work a little harder to hit 300 toys.

The key is when will Blizzard catch that the Mechanized Lumber Extractor is a flyer before one can try to unlock it :p
