Simming/comparing gear at lower levels

Hey everyone! I’m wondering what people are using to sim or check DPS between gear/gems at lower levels like the 10-20 bracket. I saw someone mention the addon dejacharacters which I will look into later today, but if anyone has any other suggestions that can help me min-max my stats or compare gear it would be a huge help. Thank you!

Edit: Simc and raid bots does not work well (if at all) with lower level characters especially healers like MW or resto.

As you said, sims don't really work for low levels. Mostly you have to theorycraft yourself, and test on target dummies or real world situations. Or just use what others are recommending. At the end of the day, most PvE content at low levels doesn't require such extreme minmaxing, and PvP is so situational that just trying to maximize throughput isn't necessarily the best strategy.

As if you are interested in theorycrafting, you should try to develop an understanding of mechanics of the game what all the different stats do/how they affect damage/healing calcualtions.

Thanks for the confirmation on this, when I make a character I try to get 100% BiS since I’m a perfectionist lol. I’ll just stick to what I already know and just add in some dummy dps tests to compare even though that’s a little tedious.
