Should the bracket move away from Bleeding Hollow?

Every single post you make is completely irrelevant to the discussion at hand in this thread. Don't do it again please.
actually my comment was to explain to the people scratching their heads over your logic how you have come to the conclusions that you have. Sorry next time i'll make sure to connect the dots more clearly for you.

Still looking for educated opinions that hold some ground! I want to see as many opinions as possible with substance behind them!

sigh, not sure if i already posted in this thread and im too lazy to check..

bottom line: if we spread out and take it upon ourselves to recruit new twinks, we can increase our numbers, fix que times, and be awesome again.

after like a month back on Cenarian Circle, i was just walking around SW when i get a whisper

X: cheatz?
Me: ya, whats up man?
X: 19s are still around?
Me: ya, ques pop all day
X: how long do you usually have to wait?
Me: like 5-10 min, really isn't bad
X: add me on realid
Me: kk

2 days later...

X: hey u know snizzles still plays right?
Me: what? really?
X: ya, we're all making new twinks. we all thought twinking was dead so we lvl'd our old 1s
Me: o shit we should start a guild or something

(not at all verbatim)

a week later we have 5 new lvl 19s, 2 with agm and the rest currently getting geared. We also have a bunch not lvl 19 yet but w/e. in due time.

Moral of the Story: People think twinking is dead. Remind them that we are still here and that we are still the shit. We cant do this if we are all consolidated into 1 moderately populated server in guilds that only recruit "the best" I.e. players that are already within the community.

keep in mind that these ppl arent random bads either. most of these players are 2200+ rated.

edit: i recently discovered ive already posted itt.
also, please realize that i have done little to nothing to assist this growth in twink activity.all i really did was log on and walk around SW on my old server. like, really. thats how easy it is.

While waiting in que I state in trade channel low level xp off pvp group looking for buffs on bank steps. I made a macro to post into trade just before I get into a 19 xp off game. Something along these lines. " Thanks for the buffs. Entering 19 twink xp off game right now." When ques are popping quickly I add 5-10 min que times atm etc etc. It doesn't take long before people notice you "spamming" that in trade chat and start asking questions.

i myself have noticed alot of old Dead on Arrival players starting to regear there old twinks on elune. it shows the power of activity

I think having twinks all over the place is a good idea. I've turned 5 new players on to the bracket just from my 85's server where I roll all my 19s. I have 3 friends that are making 19s to play with me, another friend that I made on the server after seeing me standing around in Org on 19s is going to be dusting off his old 19 and updating it, and another guy already did the same and played a few games.

Divide and conquer. I think it's really as simple as that.

+1 for Mocha, great thread.

As someone who is trying to build twink grassroots on Stormscale I can say that while it is difficult, the interest is growing. Whenever I pop out of WSG and into SW I usually spam my guild recruitment and every now and then new people will whisper me asking what "twinking is". I think it is important for other guilds on other servers who are trying to build the community to act serious when doing so, people are interested, they just need to know you are there. I have already found a nice group of guys who got their twinks back into shape just from spamming it.

tl;dr don't be afraid to try and grow the community, just because BH has a metric fuckton of twinks doesn't mean there are none on your server.

Monopolization of twinks is not the same as centralization of guilds. Gathering on one single server has pros and cons, though I feel that the lack of creativity and individualism is the greatest con there is.

I've got the same outlook as Cheapshot, I think - we're both starting new guilds on different servers, neither want to centralize on BH, and I'll presume that we both have investments in our current realm that we can't afford to abandon >.<

I have the same plan - spamming guild recruitment in trade, sparking interest in the Vek'nilash public, etc. Neither of us have adequate support, not enough at least to start running premades. Why? Because all the goddamn twinks are on Bleeding Hollow!

Fuck centralization, we have realid and integrated battlegroups now >.<

Holy crap this thread had a ton of ling posts I only read awesome's but I am pro-choice on the subject

@CHEATZ.

I attempted to do this on Uther. I have a Guild tab full of twink gear and decided to get more people invovled. I managed to get some of my 85's from RGB teams to make a 19 twinks. Most of them already had previous 19's and was just need some quest items and instance gear.
AGM was easy and I have in on farm and no competition. After they were geared and enchanted (at my expense), they join into a couple of games and enjoyed it for a small time.

After being farmed they stopped logging on. I tried to explain the time-slots and that not all games are the same. They told me they will start playing when MoP hits, but for now they are sticking 85's.

No point get people to twink if we can't get them to stay

... there's already well established guilds as well as newly formed, growing guilds on Bleeding Hollow... why on earth would we even consider abandoning Bleeding Hollow? not to mention all the dueling happening in durotar.

We should find a less populated server, with already a decent tink population and transfer there. Trade chat is vital for a tink and Bleeding Hollow doesnt offer a great trade chat experience due to the high ammount of people that leads to a lot of spam. Of course, I know this will never happen so I guess Bleeding Hollow stays the best choice for a tinké.

Your not going to find a Gloomshroud for sale no matter where you run off and look

The thing is this can be applied to any major level 85 guild, you have to create an incentive for these people to say. When someone joins my guild I immediately require them to register on TI in order to show that this community is very large despite our server population. People will always leave your guild no matter what level, but creating a guild thats specific goal is to twink is one that will be very difficult and is something you have to be committed to. At the moment I only have 12 people and I have easily lost interest in close to 30, like I mentioned earlier you just have to work hard to build up numbers which in turn keeps other people around.
