Should I level to 85?

Hi.

I'm pondering on leveling my Deathknight from level 70 to level 85.

The 70 bracket (In my Opinion) Has just lost its flavor to me.

I'm probably picking at the grisly bits but..

Mages are pretty much gamebreaking.

PvE geared rogues can get you down with several 4k crits, in an opener.

And abit more, but I'm not going to go into that atm.



I haven't tried BG's/Arena on my main yet, and I'd just like to see what type of feedback I'd get from asking... What are the differences from the 70 to 85 bracket?

I say go try out the 85 bracket, and you will have a lot of fun. Pugs can get frustrating at times, but just que with a few buddies and you will have a blast win or lose (you will most likely win). that being said, people in pugs are not the best players, so you might want to test your worth in arena, which can get very competitive and will surely entertain you for a very long time.



If you find yourself wanting to play competitively, show everybody whose boss in rated BG's as that is the most fun I have had PvPing in my 5 years of WoW.



In conclusion, the 85 bracket seems to be pretty balanced, although the grind to get bloodthirsty can get a little tedious, nevertheless its worth it. You might want to look up which servers are very active for PvP (Mal'Ganis is, which is what i'm on) and level an alt on that server so you will constantle have good people to play with. I think you should keep your DK at 70, and level an alt as once you ding 71 there is no going back.
 
If you are leveling a DK than imo level a new one because you have the luxiory of starting at level 55. 85 is decently balanced besides a few classes countering other ones but that is normal. I find 85 to be highly enjoyable and as Mooseknuckle said rated bg's can be a lot of fun along with arenas, as long as you have friends on your server.



Another thing, Because of the double increase in honor points farming for blood thirsty takes almost no time. Also, if you enjoy pvp while you are leveling and are already at a 4k honor cap a good thing to do is convert some of the honor points into justice so when you hit 85 you have 4k honor to spend as well as the honor you get back from reconverting the justice points into honor. It's a good way to get geared fast as soon as you hit 85.
 
Stunggix do you get bg pops at 80 or arena only? :)

yeah it is :p so tranfer the 70 DK and level a new dk on same server or! start a new dk on a diferent server! :eek:

do not lvlup your one full geared dk, just roll new one (10 lvls is ez as hell) and go try 85, but i my opinion 85 lvl is booring cuz of new instances farm every patch every season new gear farm and shit. at 70 bg and arena is just for fun. at 85 bg and arena is just for farm.

You must be playing a different game at 85 because its way more balanced than 70 atm even tho it has some pretty gross issues

with the exception of mages + rogues, i would say 70 is pretty fine.



at 85, the ammount of damage flying around with very little effort is ridiculous.



prime example- i pop 1 CD on my priest, spam mind spike and mind blast, and there is literally nothing that can survive it.

thats simply not the case @70 if you have been playing 70 for any amount of time you should know this



and if thats all you are doing on your priest than the people you are fighting are horrible
 
My current server is very active on PvP, and even has a couple 2600 rating players yo.

I'm not going to level, but I probably might if mages get another buff.
