Should I level to 85?

duplicate post

mages are OP at 80 and 85 too. the grass doesn't get greener at endgame. at 80 in WOTLK their was soo much QQ on mages in 2's, they were able to rip up fast and quickly pop the newer relentless arena gear. near every 2400+ team being a mage and WTF-ever healing class, and near all the top 25 being mage/priest combos. rather than nerf mages and priests. their answer was we no longer balance 2 vs 2, and they removed 2 vs 2 team rating as counting towards buying gear.

there is alot of QQ on wowforums at times, but blizzard flags threads as duplicates, unproductive, refer/link to other threads, lock and then delete them. they did this on 5 threads that players were QQing on mages in particular....till they were all gone. i had all 5 on bookmarks. no threads...no problems, no fixes required.

mmo-champion has posters QQing on them. they also post shots and links to a spoof cartoon called daily blink. this isn't the only site either, we even have QQ here on TI

The Daily Blink - What Have You Done for Me Lately

i would not say this is all in reaction to what happens in 70-74 bracket or any other twink bracket which blizzard, mmo-champion, etc etc, would really care less about.

blizzard don't balance 1 vs 1 or 2 vs 2. but seems they act stupid when a class can 1 vs 2 or 1 vs 3 and the effects on 10-10 or 15-15 games.

at 70 you get a 10-10 WSG game and other team has 2 mages and you have none it's like playing a 10 -14 game or worse. i see it in BG chat at the start of games. "they have two mages and we only have one" "they have 2 mages we have none we lost this one" some players scold them...but most of the time they are right

mages are causing the same issues at 85 in RBGs, that it has pretty well killed RBGs and only thing blizzard has said they would like to see more participation in RBGs and act stupid to what is going on.

when players ask blizzard to make combat spec rogues PVP viable they say we don't make every class/spec PVP viable. they recently said same thing on prot paladins when players QQ'd on WOG nerf. they said same thing in WOTLK when Prot warriors got nerfed which resulted in mages being able to destroy them again. they recently said same thing on feral spec when shapeshifting was nerfed to no longer remove roots.

yet what seems to happen with mages.....buffs are made based on PVE. in doing so not only frost mages OP in PVP....fire mages are right in tow. and now they are doing buffs based on PVE on arcane spec. soon every mage spec will be PVP viable and of course OP against near ever yclass. i guess more players roll mages on the PTR, not sure if there is a limit or a census. under the guise of PVE QQ get their classes buffed. i have heard rumors of whole guilds doing things like doubling on the PTR...not just for the raid scoup, but to put in comments like disc - priest needs stronger bubbles, mage armor is too weak, frost bolt too weak...etc etc

remember awhile back hunters were doing more DPS in raids, they got nerfed many months back, f-mages got buffed over and over supposedly based on PVE.

as you read other forums you will see various comments and variations that basically say: "blizzard keeps making changes based on PVE without regards to the affect on PVP"

as for other classes at 85 alot of QQ on disc priests, res shammies, holy paladins.

game IMO is combo "world of magecraft" and "world of healcraft" LOL you better have 3-5 players to kill me

rather than nerf certain classes blizzards answer is to add heals to every class now. like rogues, warriors, and now feral druids had a think it was a 6-8% heal from leader of the pack when they crit. it was too much and got nerfed down to 4%, but now they are adding another %1 heal for every 10 energy used passive heal on ferocious bite. well every time you use it it's 25 energy so that's 2.5% health regen. i guess that is the rebuff for nerfing shapeshifting.

i know many players who play endgame...IRL-personally, since they are into endgame PVP, three of them are rerolling a mage, a priest, and a shammy. one rolliing mage as he goes thru the levels is just like always saying class is too OP and explaining it out and saying it is ridiculous

idk. ferals have had healing from imp lotp for a long time now. so you must just be confused since they consolidated it. also the FB -> healing not only sucks ass but requires a glyph slot which is not worth it for any situation since the heal sucks ass

and yes look how when mages are too OP to balance they make 2s less important and say they no longer balance around it. yet when ferals FINALLY do half way decent in arena (at the VERY beginning of cata...and mainly due to lack of pvp gear at that time/getting used to 85) we have shifting butt fucked which is considered by any druid to have been a class defining ability. oh but wait, moonkins and trees can still get out of roots lolk, gj balancing there blizz fucks.

but mages are certainly at the top of op atm. at least imo. just from lvling standpoint even, its a complete joke! ive been lvling a mage just for shits and gigs and the only boa gear is the staff and helm. im 59 currently and still able to 1-2 shot pretty much any mob around me as any spec. 1-2 ABs, dead, 1-2 frostbolts, dead; 1-2 pyro/fireball, dead. leads to almost no downtime whatsoever. joke.

It's funny how most of the people complain how OP mages are and end up rerolling one. But then, what a surprise, those guys are stuck at 1.5k ratings in 2v2. I've been playing mage now for what, 5 years atleast. I'm not denying that mage isn't the king of 1v1 and isn't OP in 2v2. But the problem usually lies in other players, who do not know how to counter mage. Mage has certainly gotten easier to play, but after you reach 2k-2.2k ratings it gets quite a lot harder. People actually know how to counter mage aka tunnel him 24/7. At 2.4k+ it's total hell, sometimes I feel like chopping off my dick instead of playing a mage.

The most OP thing about mages is RoF into deep freeze followed by other CC such as sheeps and mind control. Our damage is not as high as every claims it to be. But hey, frost Death Knighs and resto Shamans beat us, they are the current OP fotm shit. Those if something should be nerfed.

Oh and that all was from lvl 85 perspective. At lvl 70 mages are ridiculous. I can maybe beat them on my DK and Rogue but that drains all of my cooldowns and usually the mage is terribad, doubt I'd stand chance against a skilled one. Gladly there ain't many of those. After 4.1

After 4.1 70's got stomped hard. That's pretty much why I quit this game, the only joy I had left was taken from me. And yeah, I'd highly suggest you to lvl your DK to 85. Frost Death Knight basically free glad right now. But maybe you should create a new, just in case of Blizzard fixes the lvl 70 queues and other shit before next expansion. It's only like 14 extra hours if decide to start from 55 again. Though it would require migrate, because only way to have 2 Death Knight on same realm is to migrate other one there.

Hey, i dinged my old 70 twink warrior to 85 two days ago and have been playing alot of BG. It's really much more fun at 85 than 70 because you wont get 1 shotted even without resilience and fights last longer :)
