wait people consider moran a respectable twink? shieeet, learning something new evryday
This speaks volumes to me. It says a lot about who is "respected" and who clearly isn't in the eyes of the elitists. It's all an illusion honestly. One person who's respected sings the praises of another and so on and before you know it, you have a world of elitists who are perhaps average or slightly above average (and in some cases slightly below) who are then deemed "respectable" and the "best" players by these elitists. Most of the "average" players typically don't even look up to these people because they're aware of the illusion of popularity and how little relevance it has to do with individual skill.
How do you become this highly talked about "god" in 19s? All you have to really do is roll FOTM / be bis / queue with other FOTM / Bis players in Skype and have good synergy... AND really focus on containment / 3-0ing PUGs. I do give some respect to these people as gaining a following in this community that is so hard to give respect takes a lot of group queuing. With that being said, we see some pretty questionable people who are "respected" and at the end of the day, don't really outplay the average "no names" in PUGs or in premades. Take roughly average players and give them comms then give them powerful classes and if they can develop synergy they'll become a Skill Ratio.
I respect those who have put so much work into their teams / guilds... but I respect the underdogs who solo queue or queue on healers in PUGs much more who are constantly playing against / winning on occasion to these powerhouses. Those are the people who really deserve respect... not these people whom others talk about in a highly manor and become popular. Sure, some of them are probably pretty good at endgame, but if you cannot shine from your gameplay alone at 19s which is combat at its most basic undressed form, I'm 100% confident that your true talent is being masked and carried at endgame. These big named players who are considered "respectable" twinks should be able to solo queue anonymously and still gain recognition for being outstanding players. They would have 0 image / name / impression associated with them. I guarantee you that 90% of "pro" 19s would go unnoticed if they solo queued and did so anonymously. I'd be willing to bet, that these players would be looked down on and trash talked for being "no names" much sooner than they'd be respected and valued with the elitist crew. In my opinion, here are just a few "big name" players who I believe would be able to solo queue anonymously and still be recognized purely for their gameplay: Saxxon, Telle, Kevikev, Skeezin, Nicozy, Zeiren, Randylayhee, Ezeron, Pizza, Jetlife.
Just my opinion. My opinion only has the value that you give it.
