do you mean shattrath city center in talador? no, i'm pretty sure you can't phase it into the one where you can get the mobs you want at 20. i tried doing all the quests too to check. there's some others like that too, like gorivax in frostfire ridge that wouldn't spawn without a quest open that we can't get.

This is good news.. I have 20+ hunters idling between lvl 5 to lvl 13 .. Now is a good time to bring them all up to lvl14 and I can start grinding these daily rares.

I cant seem to figure out how i get the missive? It says i need to be lvl 40 in the quarter master shop :/ ?

I understand how the Wowhead Guide and what I mentioned can be confusing, but all we are after as twinks are the rare elites in the zones mentioned in the guide. We don't need to pick up a quest or anything we just got to the zones in Shadowmoon Valley, Gorgrond, and Frostfire ridge and kill the Rare spawns and hope they drop their gear. Sorry for any confusion!

This only works for the ones close to the outer permiter, but I was able to stand my 20 right outside of where I would be zoned into the phase, then drag the mob close to my 20 using an alt, then kill and it looted fine.

Basically, if you can see the rare (but too far away to reach), drag it over with an alt and you'll be able to loot it still.

Ah, no worries! I just went there and it seemed like a rare called "Ogom the Mangler" wasnt there. Dunno if i missed him, but i watched some youtube videos and it seemed like they all had the missive active, so i figured that i had to have that as well :/

I gotcha, it's my understanding that these rare mobs have a respawn timer that is not instant, so depending on how recently the rare was killed it may not be up.

My trinket is still giving me the same amount of mastery on-use at it was before, 73 mastery and 9 versatility baseline. What level is your toon and did you recently pick it up or have you had it?

I mean, i'm assuming its meant to be a warzone at this point with the rares there but i wouldn't know i never played WOD

I looked for ogom too, wasn't there. Was also off-hours, but maybe just missed him.

Hmm okay, I'll go and look for him, maybe he was removed some time ago. I don't believe I've seen him yet either, but I can't remember.

Someone on WoWhead made a comment to this effect as well, he might have been removed even though it seems really odd. My guess is that we've all just been unlucky though.
 
Anyone not receiving loot from https://www.wowhead.com/npc=81639/brambleking-fili#drops at all? today is the third day I killed him and I only receive Apexis crystals and a primal spirit the first time. The second and third have resulted in nothing, unlike all the other rare elites I have killed. Which leads me to believe I am ineligible to get the staff from him, which shouldn't be the case if these mobs chance of dropping loot resets daily.
[doublepost=1603046181,1603045515][/doublepost]I just got https://www.wowhead.com/item=119361/thorn-knuckled-gloves off of Alkali, a Apexis Crystal Assault zone rare elite and it proc'd a socket! Reconfirming that these items off of these mobs can proc secondary stats/sockets, which was already known. Good luck farming all!

That seems to be alright, the trinket still scales to one's level, but all WoD on-use/proc trinket values are much higher than all the other expansions which is what makes them so useful. So I think your tusk is fine.

Druids ONLY: My 19 I've been working on is a druid and I am fortunate enough to have 2x 14 ilvl artifacts in my Scythe of Elune, but other druids you are not left out! When doing the Restoration artifact quest, you are given https://www.wowhead.com/item=135582/corrupted-ghanir-the-mother-tree?bonus=0#created-by-spell mid quest, don't finish the questline - keep this staff! This weapon is awesome. Note: I did save the resto artifact questline for last so I wouldn't get locked out of the other artifact questlines.

Yeah I got it first, so my druid is sorta messed up. I dont wish to restart but if anyone wants to keep the weapon with the questlines get another artifact first then the resto druid corrupted staff.

I was able to do this for the ring boss too, but i didnt get the ring so ill have to do it again. keep in mind you cant get into the phase with chromie time, so you have to be in the open world competing with all the 50s.
 
dunno if its been posted already i cba scrolling through 8 pages but you can drop engineering once u have dragon with the 3 sockets already in place and you can unequip/re-equip/do whatever u want and it wont affect it in any way, the gems still give stats etc

it might be worth keeping around incase the azerite helm gets nerfed/patched. the cogwheel cata helm looks juicy

It's "aight"
If you use cogwheels in it,

It ends up being 20 secondary stats + 4agi/6stam and a Meta.
Personally I ended up getting Ingvar's helm from Utgardekeep for my hunter instead, was a better breakdown imo.

Awesome, I wasn't sure on this. So do you initially need engineering to equip it? or do you even need engineering at all in the first place? Because if not that's really awesome.
