yeah about that rare elite lol darn it. The gems are nice as well, mainly if i can get a socket proc on a rare drop.

They may just end up scaling down the gems, a lot of things depend though on which gear gets grandfathered and which does not. Sadly gems I think can never be grandfathered, even if they are unobtainable. if ilvl 44 gear gets nerfed that would shake stuff up again for sure, if it gets grandfathered that would cause a mix of what is BiS thats obtainable and what is BiS thats grandfathered.

Yea, I have a feeling that some of the rare mobs in WoD were removed or are gated behind a questline that we can't do.

9. Apexis Shard Unique-Equip Gems (Burning Crusade)
Through this thread, it has been brought to my attention that there are gems that have not been scaled down bought from a unique vendor in Blade's Edge Mountains in Outland! This vendor is Aether-tech Adept , he is unique in the fact that he only spawns during an event! This event appears to occur on a timer of 2-3 hours (based on my experience) and occurs at the vendor's location in Northern BEM, just Northeast of Besh'ir Landing. This event, which is waves of elite mobs, can prove difficult if not properly geared so be warned. Here is a list of gems he sells and what stats they give to a level 19 toon:
Note: Farm Apexis Shard before you try and do the event! Save yourself some time and get 80+ shards prior to doing the event. I just killed the mobs at Besh'ir Landing and got 80 in about 40 minutes.

For future reference, there is another vendor that spawns after the one mentioned above, Aether-tech Master. He sells gear as well as Meta gems that have 5% Stun Resistance!
 
I have waited 2-3 hours and it has yet to spawn. Might want to submit a bug report on it, but I don't think it exists. If you want bracers as hunter, it seems you need to be lvl 20.

It's worth noting that these gems can only be purchased once. So use them in items you don't think will be replaced soon.
You cannot re-do the event and buy more of these gems.

Can a lvl 10 twink kill The rares and get hige ilvl thing too?? Or a lvl 10 twink cant??? IF so are there any plate iteams i can get and were??

Okay im a lvl 10 prot pala. But yee u know what iteams i can get more then garrison ring legion 50 ilvl thing and The bfa thing and neck. Can i get cloak wrist boots and other thing with higer then ilvl 14 IF so were and how. And think u could send a pictures or something

Here's a list of the rares and their gear.

There are certain rares you cannot get to without help. If you can see them but phase out when you get close you have to get an alt to pull them close to you, which you can then loot. I believe this is only the case for a few rares.
Basically look on the map, hover your cursor over the zones and see the level requirements. If they're 10 levels or more above your level they will be 'skull' level and you cannot get loot from them.
