Shadow Priest twink, what level?

I'm quite new to WoW but i've decided that twinking is my thing to do as i find it very fun. I've made a shadow priest twink but wondering what level to get it? Also very important is what is BIS items? Or which items should i get for what level twink... I'm thinking 49 shadow priest twink but idk. Sorry if posted the wrong place

39 Shadow is great, and 49 is amazing. It does suffer a bit more from not being a fury warrior at 49, though.

BiS will depend on your bracket, generally can't go wrong with haste>vers BoE greens though (generally level 39/ilevel 44 greens for 39, level 47+/ilevel 52+ greens for 49). Postmaster set is nice defensively at 49.

So if i make a 49 twink shadow priest, i should get ilvl 52+ greens? What about heirloom, does heirloom get outscaled by the items you recommended?

If you need versatility heirlooms won’t help you much. Save bg crates you get while leveling your toon to open only when you lock xp, bg gear helps with versatility

Shadow Priest is quite strong in several brackets and you will find success in the 29, 39, 49, 59 and 60 bracket with perseverance and dedication.

Generally however I find that casters are much more difficult to play at the lower brackets, due to melee being naturally stronger in many ways while you haven't got the defensive cooldowns unlocked at higher levels.

I have an 89 shadowpriest and it's hella fun. I did try to twink this guy at 39 but the fury warriors just made my life hell and I wasn't having fun.

I'd suggest going for a higher bracket 70+ you will have a great number of cooldowns and the class feels better to play.

70 has a strong community and there is some great gear available to you. Seeing a fully geared 70 with 5 int 4 haste gems in nearly every piece of gear is a great sight to see.

We have a shadow priest in our guild that can 1v1 almost all classes, with insane utility in arenas and bgs. Great survivabikity and awesome rot and burst potential makes them a top 3 class at 70 atm for pvp

Okay thanks guys. I'll make it 70 and raid for bis gear? I think once i've got the class figured out completely and got gear it will be fun

Save bg crates you get while leveling your toon to open only when you lock xp, bg gear helps with versatility

One caveat with this advice: the BG crates are only good for 3 days, real time, IIRC. If you wait longer than that, the crates will be empty. So, if you plan to lock xp at a certain level, plan for a burst of BGs in the three days before reaching your level cap.
